Atomfall-avslutninger: Alle avslutninger i spillet og hvordan du får dem

Atomfall is a game that offers players a great deal of freedom, but every choice you make comes with consequences. Your decisions shape how the story unfolds — from different events and narrative paths to the ways you can escape the Quarantine Zone.
However, to see all of the game's endings, players will need to complete multiple playthroughs. You'll have to make different decisions throughout the storyline each time. In this blog, I’ll walk you through all the endings in Atomfall and explain how to unlock each one. This article contains spoilers, so proceed with caution. Now, let’s dive into the breakdown.
How many endings are there in Atomfall?
There are a total of six different endings in Atomfall, and each of them is drastically distinct. They vary in tone, the conditions required to unlock them, and of course, the final cutscene. These endings can be loosely categorized as good, neutral, or bad.
Bad Ending | Neutral Ending | Good Ending |
Mother Jago (sacrifice to Oberon and The Voice) | Captain Sims (destroying Oberon and the zone) | Dr. Garrow (scientific escape) |
Voice on the Phone (unknown motives) | Dr. Holder (destruction with toxin) | Joyce Tanner (escape with Oberon sample) |
These are all the possible endings in the game. Now, let’s move on to the guide on how to unlock these endings.
Dr. Garrow Ending

The Dr. Garrow ending is considered one of the positive ones in Atomfall. To unlock it, you need to find Garrow deep within the Skethermoor prison. If you’re not on good terms with Protocol, the guards will immediately open fire, so it’s best to gain Captain Sims' trust first. Go through the tunnels to reach the isolation area where Garrow is held.
Talk to her and promise to help. Then, head to the nearby security room and take the Signal Redirector. Use it to open the cells, and Dr. Garrow will escape to the Interchange, locking the door behind her.
Escape the prison, avoiding the now-hostile guards. In the Interchange, Garrow will be waiting for you in the Central Processor room. She will ask you to recover her research notes from the Robotics facility below. To access it, you need to restore power to Data Store Bravo. Solve the Signal Redirector puzzles and try to avoid the aggressive B.A.R.D. robots to find the necessary documents.
Once you have the notes, return to Garrow — she will give you a keycard to a secret Data Store near the Casterfell Dam. Restore power there, enter the command “GEN ERA” in the terminal, and return to Dr. Garrow. Then, power up the Central Processor and head to the Windscale Plant to destroy Oberon.
Once Oberon is destroyed, return to Dr. Garrow to leave the zone.
How to unlock Dr. Garrow's ending (briefly):
- Find Dr. Garrow in the Protocol prison in southwest Skethermoor. To avoid trouble, earn Captain Sims’ trust
- Take the Signal Redirector from the security room and free Garrow
- Meet Dr. Garrow in the Central Processor of the Interchange
- Locate her research notes in the Robotics facility below the Interchange
- Enter the code GEN ERA in the Data Store terminal near the Casterfell Dam
- Destroy Oberon and return to Dr. Garrow
Mother Jago Ending

To unlock the Mother Jago ending, you first need to find her near the Old Mine in the northeast part of the Casterfell Woods. She’ll ask you to retrieve her book, which is located in the Druid Castle to the southwest. Go to the kitchen area, grab the castle key, and unlock the hidden door behind the fireplace to access a secret room. Inside the side chamber, you’ll find Mother Jago’s Book and the Strange Tonic Recipe.
After returning the book, Jago will offer you a chance to escape the madness of the Quarantine Zone. Agree, and she’ll give you a new task — to bring an offering to the Speaking Cave. This location is east of the Druid Camp, just south of the sewer entrance in central Casterfell Woods.
While carrying the offering, the druids won’t attack. Find the altar, place the offering, and upon leaving the cave, you’ll find Mother Jago waiting in the nearby Stone Circle. She’ll tell you about a growth serum that can enhance Oberon. To locate it, head to the lower levels of the Medical sector (you’ll need Dr. Holder’s keycard), go past the Auditorium, and enter a hidden cave that leads to the Medical Tunnels.
Search the tunnels for the growth stimulant — it’s found next to a corpse deep in the cave system and looks like an atomic battery. You don’t need to return to Jago afterward.
Once you’ve restored power to the Central Processor, head to the Windscale Plant and use the Fire Safety System in the Oberon Dig Site to spray the serum. After that, leave the facility and travel to the Castle Ruins. There, descend into the pit and sacrifice yourself to the Voice in the Soil — that’s how you “escape” the Quarantine Zone.
How to unlock Mother Jago’s ending (briefly):
- Find Mother Jago at the Old Mine in the northern Casterfell Woods
- Return her book, found in the Druid Camp and Castle Ruins
- Bring the Offering to the Speaking Cave
- Speak with Mother Jago again to learn about the Growth Serum
- Find the Growth Serum in the Medical Tunnels beneath the Interchange (requires Dr. Holder’s keycard)
- Feed Oberon the serum, then return to the pit in the Castle Ruins
Captain Sims & Protocol Ending

To unlock Captain Sims’ ending, you must first earn his trust — only then will he grant you access to key Protocol facilities, including Skethermoor Prison. Upon arriving in Wyndham Village, investigate either the church or the bakery to uncover what happened there. Once you have the information, report it to Sims. The first time you meet him, he’ll be at the village bandstand; later, you’ll find him inside the Village Bunker.
After hearing your report, Sims will send you to Skethermoor to interrogate Dr. Garrow — he wants to understand how she managed to disable Protocol equipment. Make your way to the back of the prison, into the solitary confinement area, and learn what she did. Once you inform Sims, he’ll reveal that a crucial Protocol radio component was stolen from the village hall. You’ll need to retrieve it from the Speaking Cave, located east of the Druid Camp in the Casterfell Woods, and bring it back to him.
After that, Sims will instruct you to begin Operation Atomfall — a top-secret plan to destroy Oberon and cleanse the surrounding area. Infiltrate the Windscale Plant, trigger the detonation, and return to Captain Sims to escape the zone.
How to unlock Captain Sims’ ending (briefly):
- Earn Captain Sims’ trust by telling him about the church murder (or another village event, like the baker’s husband’s infection)
- Interrogate Dr. Garrow in Skethermoor Prison
- Return to Sims to learn that a radio component was stolen
- Go to the Speaking Cave in the Casterfell Woods and retrieve the radio part
- Return to the village hall to learn about Operation Atomfall
- Destroy Oberon and return to Captain Sims
Joyce Tanner Ending

To unlock the Joyce Tanner ending, you’ll first need to find her. By default, she’s located in a secret Protocol bunker southwest of the Old Mine — in the same area where you encounter Mother Jago — in the northern part of the Casterfell Woods. However, if you activate Data Store Charlie, Joyce will relocate to that facility within the Interchange.
Once you restore power to Data Store Charlie, speak with Joyce in her new location. She will assign you the task of reactivating three radio towers located in Casterfell Woods, Slatten Dale, and Skethermoor. Each tower requires a unique keycard, with its location hinted at in a note taped to the tower’s terminal. All keycards can be found nearby.
After reactivating all three towers, return to Joyce in Data Store Charlie. She will tell you about a classified Data Store near the Casterfell Dam that houses a terminal. Head there and enter the command GEN MOVE, which Joyce will provide. Then return to her.
In the final stage, Tanner will ask you to collect a sample of Oberon. Travel to the Windscale Plant (after powering up the Central Processor). You’ll need to either bring two Atomic Batteries or defeat the B.A.R.D. security robots guarding the Oberon Dig Site. Insert the batteries into the sample extraction unit located behind the upper control rooms and pull the lever.
Once the process is complete, take the Oberon sample from the left compartment and bring it back to Joyce Tanner to complete your escape.
How to unlock Joyce Tanner’s ending (briefly):
- Find Joyce Tanner in a secret Protocol bunker southeast of the Old Mine in northern Casterfell Woods
- Or activate Data Store Charlie to relocate her there without visiting the bunker
- Restore power to the Interchange (specifically Data Store Charlie), then speak with Joyce Tanner
- Activate the three radio towers in Slatten Dale, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor
- Enter the GEN MOVE command in the Data Store near the Casterfell Dam
- Return to Joyce Tanner, trust her, and head to the Windscale Plant
- Extract a sample of Oberon and return it to Joyce Tanner
Dr. Holder Ending

To unlock the Dr. Holder ending, you’ll need to find his hidden lab. First, gain access to the Medical Wing of the Interchange by restoring power to Data Store Alpha. Inside, locate the Church Cellar Key and take it to St. Katherine’s Church. Head down into the crypt and unlock the Forgotten Cellar in one of the corners — this is where Holder’s secret laboratory is located.
During your conversation, he’ll ask you to retrieve Sample One — a piece of organic material from the core of Oberon. He’ll also give you a keycard that grants access to the lower levels of the Medical sector. Return there, use the keycard, and find the Auditorium. On the operating table, you’ll see the sample — it resembles an Atomic Battery.
Deliver the sample to Holder, after which he’ll move to the Central Processor in the Interchange. There, he’ll hand you a toxin specifically engineered to destroy Oberon. Once you restore power to the Central Processor, head to the Windscale Plant and use the Fire Safety System at the Oberon Dig Site to disperse the toxin directly into Oberon’s core.
After the operation is complete, return to Dr. Holder to leave the zone.
How to unlock Dr. Holder’s ending (briefly):
- Find the Church Cellar Key in the Medical sector beneath the Interchange
- Open the Forgotten Cellar under St. Katherine’s Church and be friendly to Dr. Holder
- Retrieve Sample One from the lower level of the Medical sector (requires his keycard)
- Return the sample to Holder, then head to the Central Processor after he says he needs time to work
- Spray the toxin on Oberon, then return to Dr. Holder to leave the zone
The Voice on the Phone Ending

And the final ending is “The Voice on the Phone Ending.” To unlock it, you only need to answer the phone once during your playthrough and then destroy Oberon in the finale. Most phones can be ignored — just wait until you’re about to enter the infected cloud area at the entrance to the Windscale Plant.
Pick up the phone nearby, speak to the Voice, then consume the Strange Tonic and make your way to the Oberon Dig Site deep within the facility. To destroy Oberon, activate all four emergency detonation devices. After that, return to the starting bunker in the south of Slatten Dale — this is where you’ll be able to leave the zone.
How to unlock the Voice on the Phone ending (briefly):
- Answer any phone before entering the Windscale Plant (or the one right at the start of the final area). You don’t need to answer every phone
- Destroy Oberon, then return to the entrance of Windscale and speak to the Voice on the phone again
- Go back to the starting bunker in the south of Slatten Dale
A Game Worth Your Attention
You should definitely give it a try if you enjoy tense and atmospheric settings. Atomfall delivers a constant sense of unease and mystery. Visually and narratively, it’s a dark, intense, and at times surreal story about the aftermath of catastrophe, government paranoia, religious cults, and the struggle to survive. Your emotions during the playthrough will range from fear and anxiety to genuine curiosity, sadness, and philosophical reflection. Each ending leaves a unique aftertaste — from despair to hope.
Once you finish the game with one ending, you won’t be able to stop — the urge to dive back in and reach another ending will be too strong. And that next ending? It’ll shake your emotions all over again.I hope this blog was helpful — enjoy the game!
