CS2 Austin Major Pick'em: Spådommer og meninger

Valve’s Pick’Em Challenge is back for the Austin Major 2025 — and it’s time to lock in your predictions for Stage 1. Here’s a quick guide on how it works and what you should do if you want to score those points (and flex your game sense).
What is BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Pick'Em and How It Works
Prove your analysis in CS2! The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Pick'Em is an interactive prediction game where players can showcase their Counter-Strike 2 knowledge by forecasting match outcomes throughout the Major. To participate, you’ll need the Viewer Pass, which unlocks access to the Pick’Em challenges.
Before each stage — Challengers, Legends, and Champions — you’ll submit your picks, such as which teams will advance or be eliminated. Correct predictions earn points that help upgrade your Pick’Em coin from bronze to silver to gold. Meeting all requirements can also lead to in-game rewards, making it a fun and competitive side activity during the event.

Pick’em Rules and Strategy
In the Swiss Stage, you need to make nine predictions: one team to go 3-0, six teams to advance with at least three wins, and one team to be eliminated with a 0-3 record.
You only get the 3-0 and 0-3 points if your chosen teams finish with that exact score. So if you pick a team to go 3-0 and they qualify at 3-1 or 3-2, you get nothing for that slot. That’s why many players go for long-shot picks in the 3-0 or 0-3 slots and put safe bets in the “advance” section instead.
- Use your strongest favourite (like FaZe or Vitality) in the “advance” section, even if they might go 3-0. Don’t risk losing that point.
- Save the 3-0 prediction for a team with high upset potential — someone who either dominates or busts completely.
- The 0-3 slot is perfect for underdogs or weak regional invites that look shaky on LAN.
This time, there’s one more stage than usual, but the system hasn’t changed much — just one extra point to chase. That makes early predictions more important than ever, especially if you’re aiming for the Diamond Coin reward at the end of the event.
Get your picks in before the first match kicks off, and remember: this isn’t just about guessing winners — it’s about playing the format smart.

Our Prediction for Austin Major 2025
A fairly popular opinion is that Heroic and B8 will go 3-0, but I’m leaning toward Complexity taking B8’s spot instead. For the 3-1 and 3-2 slots, Wildcard, OG, BB, and TyLoo should make the cut. As for the team likely to go 0-3, Legacy seems like a sure pick.
There’s also a good chance that Chinggis Warriors could go 0-3, but I’d recommend picking a different team for that spot — your choice. You can check out an alternative opinion below.

MacMate is known for crafting detailed guides that aggregate opinions from multiple experts, making his content especially valuable for fans. He made some unusual but interesting choices—WildCard and FlyQuest at 3-0, Fluxo and NRG at 0-3, and advancing: Heroic, Metiz, Nemiga, Chinggis Warriors (yes, someone believes in them), and OG.

Ash’s Austin Major Pick’Em
Another solid player offering data-driven analysis based on team win rates. He placed Heroic and TyLoo at 3-0, NRG and Chinggis Warriors at 0-3, and sees B8, BB, Legacy, Lynn Vision, OG, and Complexity making it through.
Everyone has Heroic as their 3-0 pick, and most agree that Chinggis Warriors are going out 0-3. It’ll be interesting to watch this new Mongolian squad, but no one’s really giving them a shot—0-3 is the safe call. As for who deserves that 3-0 slot outside Heroic—Complexity, B8, or BB? I’m doubling down on Complexity.

CS2 Austin Major Pick’em: Medal
The Pick’Em Challenge in CS2 gives you a chance to earn a special event medal based on how accurate your predictions are across the stages of the Major. To get the highest-tier medal, you’ll need to hit enough correct picks in each stage — that means carefully choosing which teams go 3-0, which ones advance, and who gets knocked out 0-3.
If you’re aiming for the best reward, your safest route is to bet on favourites and avoid risky calls. Stage 1 is especially unpredictable: teams are coming from all over the world, with minimal differences in rankings and form. That’s why checking their recent results, matchups, and roster changes is crucial. Playing smart from the start puts you on track for the gold.
