Slik får du tak i Skeleton Key i Oblivion: Remastered

If you're hunting for the Skeleton Key location in Oblivion, the remastered version keeps the classic questline intact. This means you're just a Daedric Prince’s favour away from lockpicking immortality. Whether you're playing vanilla Oblivion or the remastered version, the steps are the same—and yes, it's worth it.
What Is the Skeleton Key and Why You Want It
The Skeleton Key is a Daedric Artefact that works as an unbreakable lockpick, plus it passively buffs your Security skill by +40. That means you’re not just avoiding broken lockpicks—you’re also flying through locks faster than ever. And since Oblivion’s lockpicking mini-game can feel like a weird rhythm test with bad timing, the Skeleton Key turns that mess into "spam auto-attempt until it opens" without punishment. It’s a quality-of-life cheat code that’s actually legit.
For a complete walkthrough, you need to find all the items on the map. So our guide with all the Daedric Princesses will definitely help you. There are pictures!

The Quest: Nocturnal’s Favor
You can start the quest for the Skeleton Key once you hit level 10. Head to the Shrine of Nocturnal, located just north of Leyawiin, and speak to the orc named Mor gra-Gamorn. Nocturnal herself will give you a task: recover the stolen Eye of Nocturnal. This kicks off a small investigation in Leyawiin that’s super easy if you follow the cues.
Step | What to Do |
1 | Go to the Nocturnal Shrine (northeast of Leyawiin) at level 10 and get the quest |
2 | Head into Leyawiin and find Weebam-Na’s house (center of town) |
3 | Talk to Weebam-Na and Bejeen—then eavesdrop on their convo by hiding |
4 | Listen until they reveal the Eye of Nocturnal is hidden in Tidewater Cave |
5 | Head southeast to Tidewater Cave—it's marked on your map |
6 | Inside, take three left turns, find the flooded tunnel, and dive in |
7 | Loot the glowing Eye of Nocturnal next to a sunken chest |
8 | Return the Eye to the Nocturnal Shrine to receive the Skeleton Key |
And that's it. You’ll walk away with the Skeleton Key in your inventory, ready to unlock anything short of Mehrunes Dagon’s front door.
Once you've got it, you can throw away all your lockpicks and just mash your way through every lock in the game without a care. Seriously, it makes dungeons so much more bearable.

Tips for Oblivion Remastered Players
The remaster didn’t mess with the original questline, so this process works exactly the same. But don’t skip stealth or utility spells—eavesdropping in Weebam-Na’s house can glitch out if you get spotted. Use invisibility if you have to, or just reload and try again. Most importantly, once you’ve got the Key, remember it’s not just a lockpick—it’s a huge skill boost too, so keep it in your inventory for easy early Security levelling.
