zonic kommenterte avgangen til Vitality fra IEM Rio Major 2022
/zonic, coach of Vitality , commented on his team's departure from IEM Rio Major 2022. In an interview after the match with ENCE, the Danish specialist complained about the lack of strength after playing at the Challengers stage.
I think the Challengers stage took too much energy from us. We had to recoup, which required a lot of mental effort. Anyway, I think we have not lost a single map without a fight. I am very proud of the guys, but we expected more from ourselves. I want to apologize to the fans of the team for the fact that we flew out. Today we missed quite a bit. If we had played 5% better, we would have achieved better results.
Obviously we can get better. I rate our form somewhere around 60%-80%. We played for several months in a row, starting with BLAST. Now we will have time to rest and prepare for the Global Finals. As a coach, I never felt that we were close to 100% form.
After returning home, we will become stronger. It's a major, anything can happen because there's a lot of pressure on the team. We know we can get better. We already showed it at EPL S16. Some of the favorites were also eliminated due to pressure. That's why it's so hard to compete in majors.
Recall that on the eve of Vitality lost to ENCE with a score of 0:2 and left IEM Rio Major 2022, taking 12-14th place. During the Legends stage, the Danish-French team beat FaZe Clan (16:6), but at the same time lost to NAVI (25:21), MOUZ (17:19) and ENCE (0:2).
