3DMAX secured an important victory over Rooster in the ESL Pro League S22 Stage 1 match, closing the series 2:0. The French squad completed a comeback on Overpass with a 13:10 win and dominated their own pick, Inferno, with a confident 13:3 scoreline. For Rooster, this loss puts them one step away from elimination, while 3DMAX move to a 1-1 record and continue their fight for a spot in the next stage.

Overpass (13:10 3DMAX)

The first map of the match was Overpass – Rooster’s pick. The Australian team finished the first half with a narrow 7:5 lead. In the second half, they started strong with five consecutive round wins to go up 10:7, but in the 18th round lost control, allowing 3DMAX to string together six rounds in a row and close the map 13:10.

Inferno (13:3 3DMAX)

On their own pick, Inferno, 3DMAX looked confident and aggressive. Playing on the CT side, they gave Rooster no chance to seize the initiative, finishing the first half 9:3. In the second half, Rooster failed to mount a comeback, and 3DMAX calmly brought the map to a logical conclusion – 13:3.

ESL Pro League S22 Stage 1 runs from September 28 to October 2, with 16 teams competing for a place in the second stage and a total prize pool of $400,000.
