Thunder Awaken vs PSG.LGD

The first 10 minutes of the first Thunder Awaken map were competitive for the Chinese team. But then the initiative gradually passed into the hands of the finalists of The International 10. By systematically winning team fights, PSG.LGD gained the upper hand on the map in 27 minutes with a score of 24:15.

The club from South America approached the second map with the knowledge that they would no longer make it to the playoffs. Pandaboo and the team tried to get away nicely and take on PSG.LGD. Despite the opponent's higher number of kills, the Chinese outplayed Thunder Awaken and put an end to the group stage. This is the only team that has not lost a single match in Group A.

Soniqs vs Outsiders

The former Quincy Crew has proven to be the weakest team in the group. Despite some surprises, YawaR and the team are heading home after the group stage, with the Outsiders continuing their way into the upper bracket. It is worth noting that Soniqs lost their chances of participating in the tiebreaker for 6th place in the group after losing on the first map.

Royal Never Give Up vs Team Liquid

The first map of this series can be called one of the brightest and most memorable in the group stage. Team Liquid made a bet on the currently popular carry Bristleback. The confrontation lasted 63 minutes. During this time, iNSaNiA and the team were able to make a comeback with 32,000 total cost advantages from Royal Never Give Up as of the 54th minute. MATUMBAMAN on Bristleback turned out to be stronger than ana's six-slot Terrorblade, two-time The International champion. As a result, the victory of Team Liquid with a score of 33:30.

The second map also turned out to be quite long. In almost 43 minutes, RNG brought the series to a draw.

Recall that the PGL Arlington Major takes place from 4 to 14 August this year. The top 17 teams from around the world compete for the $500,000 prize pool and 4,570 DPC points needed to qualify for The International 2022. The venue is Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas. The winner will receive the main prize of $200,000 and 820 DPC points.
