PGL Arlington Major 2022: BOOM Esports eliminert Team Liquid etter tre intense kamper
ІлляThe playoffs of the main summer event for all fans of the discipline are in full swing. Today we'll talk about the first match of the lower bracket, in which BOOM Esports met with Team Liquid for the right to continue their journey in the tournament. We observed 3 interesting maps, we will tell you about the results below.
The first map started with FB for Liquids in the second minute, BOOM managed to get a kill back only in the sixth, and they continued to build an advantage in the early stage, thanks to the Tiny + Tusk mobile pick, and several frags. The next big fight took place at 23 minutes, in the small forest of the forces of darkness, and it ended almost exactly: -2 heroes for Liquid and -1 for BOOM. The same cannot be said about the skirmish in the main forest of darkness: even the previously picked up Aegis did not allow the Horses to win it, as a result of which BOOM went to the lower side, and broke the tower. Thanks to the buyouts, Liquid were able to fight back and even took the next Roshan, which allowed them to break the barracks in the mid lane. The last fight took place at 40 minutes, and despite the persistence of the “Liquid”, BOOM won, as a result of which they ended the game at 44 minutes with a score of 30-20.
The second map started with a FB for Liquid and an instant response from opponents. The first fight took place at 6 minutes, it ended in favor of the Liquids, which allowed them to take T1 on the bottom lane. At the 14th minute, BOOM made an unsuccessful exit in smokes, as a result of which they lost 4 heroes and began to lag behind in gold. After that, the final stage of the game began: Liquid pinned the opponents at the base, allowing Terrorblade to freely farm the entire map. Despite the fact that the representatives of Indonesia continued to fight back, the gap was too big, on the 26th minute Liquid entered the base to the opponents without resistance, after which the latter wrote GG.
The last map started with a FB from BOOM on the mid lane, after a bad exit from Tiny. The initial stage of the game was also completely under their control, which allowed them to earn a 6k gold lead. Then a calm game began, the teams hit the farm, occasionally exchanging kills in favor. The next major skirmish took place on Roshan, and given the number of buybacks, it ended in favor of the Horses. After that, the representatives of Indonesia began to confidently break the towers of their opponents, but they could not enter the base. The decisive moment came at the 50th minute, BOOM players took the fourth Roshan, and with the advantage of 34k they started pushing. At first, the fight was going in the direction of “Liquid”, but with the death of Terrorblade, everything started to collapse, Juggernaut under Blade Fury went into a stupid place and broke buildings, as a result of which he made megacreeps. The match ended on 53 minutes in favor of BOOM with a score of 20-13
As a result of the match, Team Liquid are eliminated from the tournament in 9th-12th place, in turn, BOOM Esports advance to the second round of the lower bracket, where on August 12 they will meet the winner of the Entity/EG pair.
