Karl og Gabbi forlot T1-listen
Maksym ShylovPhilippine esports organization T1 has announced on social media that Karl 'Karl' Baldovino and Kim 'Gabbi' Santos are leaving their Dota 2 roster. This decision is a reaction to the recent results of the roster.
T1 commented on the event as follows:
All good things come to an end sooner or later. Today we are announcing the departure of Karl and Gabbi from our Dota 2 roster. Thank you for everything you've done and we wish you the best for the future!
Karl can be called a veteran of the team, as he has been playing for the organization since October 2020. For almost 2 years of his stay in T1, the main achievement is participation in The International 2021. Then T1 stopped at 7-8th line and earned an impressive $1,000,500.
Gabbi joined the team in February of this year. Mider helped the team take 2nd place at DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final, which allowed T1 to break into the first DPC division of the season, and 3rd place at DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I.
In recent months, T1 results have left much to be desired. The club stopped in 5th place in the DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I, missed out on the PGL Arlington Major. The team also took part in the qualification for ESL One Malaysia 2022, where they finished 4th, which was not enough to participate in the main stage of the tournament. The nearest competition for the Philippine-Indonesian roster will be qualification for The International 2022 in Southeast Asia. In order to prepare for the qualifiers, management probably started restructuring the roster.
The composition of T1 is presented below:
- Kuku
- Xepher
- whitemon
Recall that The International 2022: Southeast Asia Qualifier will be held from September 3rd to 18th of this year in an online format. The top 15 teams in Southeast Asia that did not qualify for the World Championship based on DPC points will compete for a single slot at The International 2022. Clubs that finish in 2nd and 3rd place will have the opportunity to play in the Last Chance Qualifier.
