Team Liquid og Gaimin Gladiators er deltakere i finalen i øvre parentes The Lima Major 2023
Maksym ShylovAnother gaming day has ended within The Lima Major 2023, the first Major Dota 2 tournament this year. At the end of the day, the fans said goodbye to HellRaisers and could also see an excellent game from Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators. Earlier we wrote that Tundra Esports and PSG.LGD left the tournament.
The first match of the day was the confrontation between Talon Esports and HellRaisers within the first round of the losers bracket. Talon Esports had previously lost in the upper bracket to the Liquid team, while HellRaisers found themselves in a similar position thanks to a not-so-successful performance in the group stage. 23savage and the team left no chance for their opponents, defeating them on the first map with a score of 56:19 and on the second map with a score of 44:16. Both maps lasted 43 minutes.
In the upper bracket, Gaimin Gladiators faced Entity. At first, Entity still tried to somehow resist, although they lost with a score of 27:15 in 35 minutes, but on the second map, Seleri and the team left no chance for their rivals, doubling the score in the series in 26 minutes.
The main event of the last evening can definitely be called the duel between Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion. And if on the first map Nisha and his partners won a landslide victory, then on the second map the events unfolded not in their favor. Until the 40th minute, it seemed that the third map would await us, but then Liquid made a comeback and won with a score of 22:28 in 46 minutes.
Thus, we said goodbye to another team, namely HellRaisers. Talon Esports will face Team Spirit, the champions of The International 2021. Entity and Shopify Rebellion will go down to the lower bracket, where they will no longer have the right to make a mistake. And in the finals of the winners' bracket, we will see a confrontation between the two strongest teams at the moment in the tournament in Lima, Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid.
