Chinese team Azure Ray utilized a bug in Dota 2 during their match against the United States team nouns in the group stage of The Bali Major, resulting in a clean 2-0 victory. Initially, tournament organizers contemplated nullifying the team's win on one of the maps, but later retracted their statement.

The bug in question revolves around Observers: by pinging them, it becomes possible to discern their controller, even within the concealed fog of war. Upon discovering the exploit, the organizers promptly contacted Valve, the game's developer, who affirmed that exploiting the bug would lead to penalties, potentially escalating to disqualification at the tournament operator's discretion. The participants were duly cautioned that the rule penalizing bug exploitation had been enacted during the recent group stage matches.

Should Azure Ray's triumph be revoked, resulting in a leveled 1-1 score against nouns, no rematch will be scheduled. As a consequence, World Bleed Esports will advance to the playoffs, while Azure Ray will be compelled to exit the championship. At present, the organizers have refrained from making any official statements on the matter.
