The previous tournament for 9Pandas was the DreamLeague Season 20. The East European team was drawn in Group B. There, 9Pandas got through without too many problems with a 4-2-1 result. This achievement earned the team $42,500 in prize money.

The move from North America to South America has generally benefited Evil Geniuses. Since the start of this gaming year, the team has already managed to record silver medals at DPC SA 2023 Tour 1: Division I and DPC SA 2023 Tour 2: Division I, and a championship at DPC SA 2023 Tour 3: Division I. At the world level, Evil Geniuses also performed well. The Peruvians finished in 5th-6th place at the Lima Major 2023. The Berlin event was even better for the team. Fourth place in the standings earned them 350 DPC points and $50,000. The Evil Geniuses also took part in outside championships.
