The collectives haven't  met before as both of the teams started to perform well only by the second half of the rating season, but  they didn't meet at the major competitions. We should mark that the collectives couldn't players with each other at the qualifiers as well, as they are from different regions.

VGJ.Storm played in a perfect way at the group stage and they managed  to take the first place in a rather strong group, having twelve victories and four losses. The collective lost against Virtus.Pro, their matches against OpTic Gaming and Newbee resulted in draws while the other meetings ended up by the score 2:0 for Resolut1on and Co. But the roster got punished for using two coaches during drafts at the playoff stage - VGJ.Storm played a series against OG without their coach at the pick stage and had a penalty of 70 seconds for choosing heroes. This series resulted in the the loss by the score of 2:0 for the guys.

Meanwhile, Winstrike performed poorly in their group and took the last but one place there thanks to rematches, winning over Invictus Gaming by the score of 2:0. At the playoff stage, Iceberg and Co made the vice champions of The International 2018 - Newbee leave the championship. That is why the guys are called the kings of bo1 matches. At the further meetings the teams will have more difficulties as their  opponents are much stronger and due to the meeting with Newbee, special attention will be paid to bans of the characters at the difficult line, especially “clockwerk”.

The bookmakers think that VGJ.Storm are the favourites of the competition and set the coefficient of their win equal to 1.3, while Winstrike’s triumph is evaluated as 3.4. We agree with the opinion of the bookmakers and also choose SVG and Co as our favourites, we shouldn't underestimate Winstrike, as these guys have already showed that they can win over even the strongest teams.
