We continue to review the next round of games within DPC 2023: China Upper Division. We are still looking at what is happening on the 10th game day.

The duel between Aster and EHOME is next. Teams of different weight categories, but they can show us a beautiful game.

Team Aster will approach the game with the first line in the standings. The team has a total of 5 wins in five matches and a ticket to the Lima Major.

On the other side are Invictus Gaming. The team started the season gloomily, but before the start of the match they have 2 wins and 3 losses in their assets, keeping the chances for a trip to the major.

We are trying to figure out if we should expect an obvious defeat from Aster here or IG will be able to choose a chance to continue the competition for the major.

We start the review of the match with an analysis of the form of Team Aster. As mentioned above, Aster is the undisputed favorite here.

The bookmaker also hopes for Aster's victory. Aster's chance to win is estimated by odds around 1.2.

In principle, one can agree with this. Aster is the obvious favorite, but it's a question of interest in the game.

I think it makes little sense to separately go through the Aster players, since it is clear that they are very strong both on a team and personal level, otherwise they would not have taken first place with zero in the defeat graph. However, BoBoKa stands out from the top five, performing one of the best seasons in his career.

Aster started the season with a victory at the Intel WOrld Open Beijing, after which they immediately rushed into the cycle of DPC DotA. In the first round of the DPC 2021/2022, Team Aster took 2nd place in the regular league, and then finished in 3rd place in the regional finals, held instead of the first major of the season.

Then Aster played OGA Dota PIT China, where they also took 3rd place and started playing in the second round of the DPC. The final picture has not changed: Aster is third again, but this time they reached the TOP-2 at the regional finals.

Later, the most stable team in China plays the third round and again gets into the TOP-3, in third place, of course. The only Major of the season, the PGL Arlington Major, ends for the club in 3rd place.

Before the main events of last season, Team Aster play at ESL One Malaysia 2022, where they reach the grand final, but lose to OG with a score of 0-3.

At The International 2022, the team confirmed the status of the most stable team in the region, reaching the TOP-4, leaving behind PSG.LGD and other equally famous clubs along the way.

Aster's first opponent in the new season was the Knights. A vigorous Chinese-Malaysian team brought problems to Aster, but BoBoKa on Keeper of The Light helped Aster to secure the first victory.

Later, they lost to Xtreme with a similar score. Next, Aster started a simple chart.

In turn, the team outplayed Aries, DAWN and EHOME. All with a score of 2-0 and without any problems (except that the Aries fought, causing trouble).

In patch 7.32, Aster didn't invent the wheel: they played as far as possible, which brought results. Of the three most chosen among which are Marci, Mars, Tiny, the first two have won 6 out of 10 matches each, but Tiny has won only four fights.

Like all teams, before the letter patch, they played on Puck (9 matches, 55% wins), Leshrac (8 matches, 75% wins), Snapfire (8 matches, 62% wins).

Let's move on to the review of Invictus Gaming. The team will play as an outsider.

Bookmakers are skeptical about the idea of Invictus Gaming winning. Odds to win at 3.3.

The gap is even nothing, but it seems not too complete chtoli. It would be possible to increase the coefficient on IG, but there is one thing.

Performance of Invictus Gaming

Refreshing the memory of the past merits of Invictus Gaming, we can remember how the team felt last season. It was very interesting there.

Starting from 4th place at Intel World Open Beijing, Invictus Gaming continued with 7th place at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division 1, which resulted in relegation to the second division.

In the lower leagues, IG, as it seemed, had to smash their rivals, but they managed to do this only on the second attempt, and even then not completely. In the second round, the team took the TOP-3, and already in the third round they got a victory to enter the top division.

The last event for IG, but still in the previous line-up, was the qualifiers for The International 2022, where the title Chinese club took 4th place.

At DPC 2023, IG made their debut with a match against EHOME, where they were supposed to crush their opponents, given that they lost their stars, but they were not lucky: the first map was without a chance, the second one was thrown unthrown.

Next, Invictus Gaming played against the Knights. The most controversial team of the season, which is generally accused of cheating, crushed IG with a score of 2-0.

In the third game, IG got a chance to take a break. The team in the class outplayed DAWN, closing those with a score of 2-1.

Then there was a long match against Aster.Aries, which nevertheless ended in victory for IG. 2-1 victory.

Before the match with Team Aster, the team managed to fight with PSG.LGD. Having taken the first card, they probably could not control their emotions and flooded the next two very quickly.

In patch 7.32, Invictus Gaming didn't get to play much. The team used Marci (5 matches, 40% wins), Doom (4 matches, 75% wins), Lich (3 matches, 66% wins), Dawnbreaker (3 games, 66% wins).

History of personal confrontations

Previously, the teams did not play with each other in the updated lineups. This fight will be the debut face-to-face match.

Match outcome

In this fight, I will take a head start on IG. I liked that they turned on in the last series and there is also the factor of Aster who made it to the major.

Of course, Aster is not the team that will play carelessly, but the likelihood of this remains. They can test something new, experiment, but IG should play to the fullest and I think this is enough for one taken card.

Bottom line: +1.5 handicap on IG.
