Welcome to EgamersWorld.
We continue our analysis of the third round of DPC 2023 Eastern Europe with a breakdown of the One Move - UALEIKUMNIHAO match. The teams will close out the first game day of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division in a bo3 match.
The clubs have not shone in serious competition since the end of DPC 2023: Tour 2, preparing for games in the last cycle. We will discuss what to expect from the upcoming encounter, who will win at the end of it and earn the opening points in the last DPC 2023 of the year.
Let's get started.
One Move Form
Let's start the parsing of the match by analysing One Move's playing form. In this match, they play as favourites to win.
Nominally, One Move are stronger, but the level of the sides in this game is questionable, and therefore I would not blindly trust the pre-match indicators. It is better to look at the performance of the teams and the rosters of the teams before the Long Cogneg matches.
Last season DPC 2023 One Move finished in 5th place. Back then the team was a serious handicap for the top division as One Move finished the season in 5th place with 3-4 series and 10-9. The club picked up a map from all the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 participants from Eastern Europe: 9Pandas, BB Team and Team Spirit, as well as from VP, beating Hydra, Natus Vincere and Darkside.
Before the start of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division Tour 3 One Move played third-party events, namely Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #1. It's a bit of a mystery how the team that was such a force to contend with on DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division Tour II fared so poorly in a local event with a manageable line-up with the exception of a couple of teams that ended up winning the event.
Also in the course of the 2023 season, One Move played at the Games of Future 2023. This is another side TIR-3 tournament that One Move managed to win.
- One Move line-up: Munkish~, Ainkrad, AfterLife, Gilgir, pantomem.
Before the Long Soppeg DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division Tour 3, the team made no announcement of any roster changes. In the case of OM, it seems quite logical. The current roster has proven its capacity and with good preparation they can really fight for a place in the last major of the season.
The most popular One Move heroes
The most preferred One Move hero from the previous season was Tiny (31 games, 54% win rate). Next are Pangolier (19 games, 57% wins), Mirana (19 games, 52% wins), Rubick (19 games, 47% wins).
One Move also had Tusk (17 games, 52% wins), Timbersaw (16 games, 56% wins), Ember Spirit (15 games, 60% wins) in spades.
There is no reason to believe that the switch to the 7.33 patch will undermine the team too much. One Move had enough time to migrate to their picks the most popular heroes of the patch and, I am sure, will use them in the upcoming matches for the level of performers allows.
But whether the Kazakhs can boast the same - it remains to be seen.
Form UALEIKUMNIHAO
Let's continue the analysis of the game with UALEIKUMNIHAO's form. Nominally, the Kazakh club will play in the status of the outsider.
Nominally, therefore not so much Kazakh, but outsider - quite logical, because the team just entered the top division of the Eastern European DPC. Truth be told, so far it looks like their only and main achievement of the year.
UALEIKUMNIHAO made it to the top division thanks to their successful performance in the second division last season. There, the team finished 2nd.
In the lower division last season the Kazakhs showed a very strong performance. The team lost only one game and finished the season 6-1 and 12-6. The loss was to Nemiga Gaming, which wasn't too bad considering their status as DPC 2023: Tour II Lower Division leaders.
Apart from their performance in the lower division of DPC 2023: Tour II, UALEIKUMNIHAO are remembered for playing at Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #1. It is hard to call that performance a game, as UALEIKUMNIHAO dropped to the TOP 16 of the tournament with a rather mediocre roster.
- UALEIKUMNIHAO line-up: Palantimos, CHIRA_JUNIOR, Shergarat (Vladimiri), B1ka, Mary_y .
The UALEIKUMNIHAO roster is not without famous names. For example, Palantimos and Shergarat (Vladimir) stand out. The first has managed to play for many teams around TIR-1 such as Vega, Pavaga, Unique, Cyber Legacy and others. Lately his gigs have been rather dubious, and from the clubs there have been outright mixes such as 11Monkeyz, Team Unique, Water Rune Enjoyers.
Shergarat on the professional stage relatively recently, since 2020. Had time to visit the teams of Burning Fire, Cyberium and X3, and now in the first division, where the next year will be a blessing.
Most popular UALEIKUMNIHAO characters
The most frequent picks for UALEIKUMNIHAO were Treant Protector (21 matches, 76% wins), Enigma (15 matches, 73% wins), Death Prophet (15 matches, 83% wins), Natures Prophet (12 matches, 83% wins).
There was also Undying (11 matches, 63% wins), Disruptor (10 matches, 70% wins), Rubick (10 matches, 60% wins).
History of One Move - UALEIKUMNIHAO
The teams have not previously played each other in official matches. This match is the first face-off between the clubs.
Match outcome
In this encounter, unlike the first game between Nemiga and Hydra, I see no reason for a full-fledged bo3. One Move are a head above their opponents, albeit far from top team status.
Given the experience of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division Tour II, OM should have no problem shutting down their second division counterparts and earning passing points that will definitely come in handy in the race for the top 3.
Bottom line: victory for One Move.
