We are seeing off the first week of DPC 2023 with the Nigma Galaxy – Into The Breach match. The duel is not the loudest, but it can bring intrigue.
Both teams got off to a good start in the tournament. However, both teams lost.
Nigma Galaxy started their performance against Tundra Esports. The match against the current world champions, surprisingly, ended in a full b3, but obviously not in favor of Nigma Galaxy.
Into The Breach kicked off the tournament with a match against Entity. The team debuted with a 0-2 defeat, however, the second map was intense and ITB performed well.
In this fight, despite the extremely clear favorite, there may be an unpredictable result. We figure out whether to wait for an easy 2-0 or let's watch the fight.
Shape Nigma Galaxy
Let's start the analysis with Nigma Galaxy. They will be the favorite in this fight.
Bookmakers unanimously believe in the victory of Nigma Galaxy. Such an outcome is estimated by coefficients in the region of 1.2-1.3.
I don't remember the last time Nigma played in a match as a favorite. This fight is just that, but the current Nigma, like a year ago, is far from stable.

Nigma Galaxy started the year in the TOP 6 at DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division 1, which briefly separated them from relegation to the second division. The actual relegation came a season later when Nigma took last place at DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division 1.
Once in the second league, the stellar team nevertheless easily took the first line and regained their place in the elite division for the 2023 season. In addition, the team played Riyadh Masters 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022, where they took the TOP 6 in the first and the second TOP -8.
The last tournament before the BetBoom Xmas Show and the replacement of the roster was the qualifier for The International 2022 from Western Europe. There, the team took the TOP-6, missing out on the second in a row of The International.
After changing the roster, the team took part in the local BB Xmas Show event. Having received a direct invite to the playoffs, KuroKy and the company fell face down in the dirt: Nigma lost two series out of two played and left the tournament at the TOP-8 stage.
In the first match of DPC 2023, Nigma played against Tundra Esports. As I said above, it turned out, surprisingly, not bad: Nigma, thanks to the pick from Huskar and Lina, took one card, already something.
Heroes of Nigma Galaxy
The most common picks were Io (6 matches, 66% wins), Death Prophet (5 matches, 60% wins), Chen (5 matches, 60% wins), Dawnbreaker (4 matches, 75% wins), Earth Spirit (4 matches, 75% of wins).
The arrival of ATF provoked Nigma to adapt to the player. Timbersaws and Slardars are again in the picks, but already in the first position. There is also Huskar, which worked against the Tundra, but the general trend is not visible.
Form Into The Breach
On the other side of the barricades will be Into The Breach. In the status of outsiders.
They don't really believe in ITB's victory. The bookmaker evaluates this possibility with odds around 3.6.
However, it should be noted that such a figure for ITB would still be a good option. Nigma is the weakest opponent of all the giants (with the exception of the current Secret), so there is every chance.

ITB players can win. This is quite a combat composition and even with a tune. He's not big against top teams, but right now Nigma is far from the top. The ITB roster includes:

ITB Performance
Into The Breach can be described as a "working" team. They sweated all last season to get into the first division.
We started last season from 6th place in the DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division II, which almost put an end to the team's performance in the DPC ecosystem. Then there were performances at local events, including the TOP-17 at D2CL Season 7.
In April, DPC WE 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division II took place, where ITB took 5th place, after which they signed the current roster, in almost identical form, with the exception of the fourth position player.
In July, the team played at DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II. The updated roster immediately flew into the TOP-2, which allowed them to be here at DPC 2023.
Before the start of the rating league, ITB played qualifiers for ESL and The International, as well as a couple of local tournaments (TOP-2 1x Series, TOP-3 Last-Last Chance). Qualifiers for the main championship of the year ended for ITB in fourth place.
In the first match, DPC played against Entity. We fought, but failed to win: 0-2 in favor of the Fishman team.
Heroes Into The Breach
Into The Breach's favorite character in patch 7.32 is the meta Crystal Maiden. The character has peaked 26 times and has a win rate of around 61%.

The teams faced each other during the last DPC season when they played in the second division. We played with each other in different lineups, but Nigma won.
The outcome of the fight
There is a strong feeling that ATF will not fit Nigma and not so much because of itself, but so much because of Nigma themselves. The opponent in the face of Into The Breach is a passer, enough, but I don’t believe in the pure success of Nigma.
Yes, they took the map from Tundra and they seemed to show that there is gunpowder in the powder flasks, but I will wait for the map from ITB. The latter impress me, I think they can impose a fight on Nigma.
