From December 4 to 10, the teams will play in a double-elimination bracket with bo3 matches up to the grand final, which will be held in the bo5 format. Evil Geniuses and Wildcard Gaming will play in the third and penultimate match.

The current EG then took the first line at the DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division 1, after which they finished on the 3rd line of the DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final. Then there was a victory in the BTS Pro Series Season 10: Americas and a win in the DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division 1.

The first major ended well: the TOP-6 at ESL One Stockholm 2022 gave EG players, and then Thunder, the impetus for further development. Inside the region, the team did not really need him, because it was not difficult for the former Thunder Awaken to win DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division 1.

The only failed tournament of the season was PGL Arlington Major 2022. There the team took the TOP-16, but already at The International 2022 they more than overcame the former failure.

The main tournament of the year is over for former Thunder Awaken TOP-6 players. Two of the Beastcoast, Chris Luck and Wisper, also played at that tournament and took the TOP-8 there, which is also nothing, to put it mildly.

Heroes EG

The most preferred hero for EG is Shadow Fiend. The character appeared 9 times and won 77% of the time.

Shadow Fiend is followed by Sven (8 matches, 62% win rate), Broodmother (7 matches, 71% win rate), Primal Beast (7 matches, 71% win rate), Undying (4 matches, 75% win rate).

Let's continue the analysis of the fight by getting to know Wildcard Gaming. The North American club will play the role of catching up in the match.

It's hard to disagree with the backlog of Wildcard Gaming in terms of pre-match strength rates. The team is indeed much smaller in caliber than its star counterparts.

Nominally, the club came to Dota 2 last season. During this short time, I managed to play in the top division of the North American region and participate in local tournaments.

At DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division 1 Wildcard Gaming took 5th place. Following this, they finished in the top six at BTS Pro Series Season 10: Americas and won the Royal Jelly Covenant: NA.

The second tour of the DPC in North America was the most significant result of the year. The team took 4th place, earning 80 DPC points, which, however, did not affect anything.

Another Wildcard achievement is 3rd place at BTS Pro Series Season 11: Americas. There, the team took 3rd place, after which they finished in 5th place in the DPC NA Tour 1, in the third season of the draw.

The last event before BTS Pro Series Season 13 for Wildcard Gaming was Last Chance Qualifier at The International 2022. There the team took TOP-8.

BTS Pro Series Wildcard Gaming itself started from the second phase, immediately entering the group stage. The team managed to get into the top four in last place with 1-6-0 and 8-6 map statistics.

Heroes of Wildcard Gaming

The most picked hero for Wildcard Gaming is Rubick. The character was taken 5 times and won 3 matches.

Next come DOOM (3 matches, 33% win rate), Riki (2 matches, 50% win rate), Faceless Void (2 matches, 50% win rate).

History of personal confrontations

Previously, the teams did not play with each other in the updated lineups. This match will be the debut face-to-face confrontation for the teams.

In such a duel, I see no chance for Wildcard Gaming. They hardly closed the group stage, and here they have to compete with such a formidable opponent. In this match, I don’t see how what happened in the Beastcoast-Thunder Awaken series can be repeated.
