We continue to actively monitor what is happening within the BetBoom Xmas Show. In Europe's biggest pre-DPC 2023 tournament, 14 teams battle it out for the title and a $50,000 cash prize.

The playoff stage is in full swing at the championship. The tournament enters its zenith with the Team Spirit vs Gaimin Gladiators match.

The pair will determine the first finalist of the race, which will be the winner of the match. Both clubs have chances of success.

The situation in the teams is close to mirror. The teams made practically similar replacements in the lineups, changing one player each.

Since Spirit did not change the backbone of the team, it is rational to recall what the champions of The International 2021 were like last season. He turned out to be undulating.

Team Spirit played within the first division of Eastern Europe. There they outperformed all their counterparts at regular intervals.

In the first round of the DPC 2021/2022 EEU - Division 1 Team Spirit took first place, to then take second place at the DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division 1: Playoff. In between draws, Spirit took 4th place at GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Dubai 2022.

In the middle of the year, Spirit visited the first major of the season - ESL One Stockholm 2022. There, Team Spirit took 9-12th place, which did not quite synergize with regional tournaments.

In the third season of the DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division 1. The decline has already begun, but Spirit quickly returned to service: 2nd place at the Riyadh Masters 2022 and a victory at PGL Arlington Major 2022 made Spirit one of the main favorites of the upcoming The International 2022.

The tournament itself turned out to be a total disappointment for the Dragons. Last year's champions flew to the TOP-16.

At BetBoom Xmas Show, Team Spirit started their performance from the first round of the playoffs. Their opponents were first Entities, who lost with a score of 0-2, and then HellRaisers, who took one card from Spirit.

Centaur is also extremely successful (7 games, 100% win rate), Enchantress appeared in 6 matches and won 5 of them, Clockwerk was picked 6 times with a win rate of 66%.

Gaimin Gladiators Uniform

Opposing Team Spirit on the way to the grand finals will be Gaimin Gladiators. In underdog status.

The chance of winning the “gladiators” is estimated by a coefficient of around 2.3. The gap is not critical and not entirely clear.

Gladiators at the past The International performed better than their future counterparts. As for me, this is the only possible aspect by which teams can now be judged. Games in the first rounds of the BB Xmas Show playoffs are not up to this.

Like Team Spirit, Gladiators made a spot change. We changed the midlaner and there are questions to the move. The roster looks like this:

As part of the BetBoom Xmas Show, it looks good so far, but the distance is not enough to draw final conclusions.

Performance Gaimin Gladiators

Since the backbone of the team is assembled, we look at the previous season of “gladiators”. There have been ups and downs.

We started the year with an unexpected TOP-1 in the Western European DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final. Then there was a good TOP-3 at D2CL Season 7 and second place in the second round of the DPC.

Their first major of the season, ESL One Stockholm 2022, the team finished in 4th place. Very good, as for a debut, but then there was a decline.

The team failed the 3rd round of the DPC, taking 6th place, but retained a slot for the next season. Then there was TOP-6 at Dota 2 Champions League Season 13.

At The International 2022, the team took TOP-9-12, which can be considered an acceptable result. Already better than Spirit.

At the BetBoom Xmas Show, Gaimin Gladiators started from the first round of the playoffs. First, they beat Nemiga 2-0, and then dealt with Virtus.pro with the same result.

Heroes Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators, in the best traditions of competitive Western European dota, play their own way, preferring non-typical heroes like Brewmasters. He appeared 7 times and won 4 matches.

Other than that, it's more standard, with a slight tweak to the Enchantress that Seleri loves. She appeared in 7 matches but won 3 of them.

Also chosen are Shadow Fiend (5 matches, 60% win rate), Silincer (5 matches, 60% win rate), Morphling (5 matches, 60% win rate).

History of personal confrontations

Previously, in the updated lineups, the teams did not intersect in official matches. The duel in the final of the upper bracket will be the debut head-to-head confrontation.

Match outcome

In this battle, I want to see a high-quality DotA, and there are all the prerequisites for this. So far, the teams are the most vigorous in this tournament, which is not surprising, given the fact that they are in the final of the upper bracket.

The most expected outcome for me will be a full-fledged bo3, with a slight advantage towards Gladiators. On the total +2.5 and I'll place a bet.
