Qualifications for TI 2023 from China are in full swing. We continue to review what's happening at the main summer event in China.

Today we're talking about what's going on in the lower grid of the standings. Not the top teams are playing here, although given the late stage of qualification, there are fewer and fewer outright weak teams.

Holy Grail and Team Bright will play for the right to stay in the race. The clubs will close out the third round of matches on the lower grid.

Let's see which team will be more capable and will play against Team Aster in the next match. The loser will leave The International 2023 - China Qualifier empty-handed.

Bookmakers believe in Bright's success. The odds for their victory are at 1.6.

Such a figure is not surprising. Despite the similarity of the teams, namely the lack of significant achievements in both, Bright look brisker than their counterparts at least in these qualifiers. They also have experience playing in the top division of the DPC, which is already a good thing.

In the first match at The International 2023 qualifiers, Bright faced Azure Ray. The obvious defeat came later than expected as Templar Assassin allowed TB to take the second card of the match, but the result was a 1-2 defeat.

In the previous lower grid match Bright played against Supernova. The result was similar - 2-1 in favour of Bright.

Team Bright's most popular heroes

The most frequent pick was Rubick. The character has appeared in Team Bright's pick 8 times and has 87% wins.

Next came Pangolier (6 matches, 83% wins), Doom (6 matches, 66% wins), Keeper of the Light (5 matches, 80% wins), Ember Spirit (5 matches, 80% wins).

We also took Ember Spirit (4 matches, 100% wins), Terrorblade (4 matches, 75% wins).

Holy Grail Form

We continue our match review with an analysis of Holy Grail's form. In this match they are playing as a number two side.

Bookmakers are not ready to believe in Holy Grail's success. The odds for their victory are in the region of 2.

It is easy to agree with the figure. Unlike Bright, Holy Grail have no experience of playing in the top division. And for most of the teams here, that's already the limit of dreams.

Previously, Holy Grail's current players played for IG Vitality. After they were kicked out of the youth team sometime between the second and third rounds of the DPC when they finished in the top 5 at DPC 2023: China Division II, they became Holy Grail.

Under the new name, they were able to win the third round of the DPC with confidence. In the second division of the third round Holy Grail took first place, beating almost everyone except big brain.

The headliner of the team is hardliner dolme. Previously the young Chinese performer played for EHOME, VG. Potential, ShenZhen and others. On the professional scene 2016. so he can be called a veteran. I doubt it will help much in the match against IG, but such is the fact.

Made their qualification debut with a match against Invictus Gaming in the top grid. We lost that game without much of a chance.

But in the lower grid everything was exactly the opposite. Disillusion competed only on the first map of the match for life, and the next game was a total demolition by Holy Grail.

Rubick (4 matches, 25% wins), Void Spirit (3 matches, 100% wins) appear in spades, Underlord, Pangolier, Storm Spirit have 3 matches each and all have 2 wins.

Head-to-head history

Holy Grail and Team Bright have played each other twice. It took place at the local Moon Studio Miso Soup. In the first match was a draw, and in the second match Holy Grail won.

In my opinion, we should expect an even game in this match. Both teams are already familiar with each other and should know each other's weaknesses.

In principle, in qualifying teams show approximately what you expect from them, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a full-fledged Bo3. If we call the winner, it should be Team Bright, at least for the fact that they managed to take the map from Azure Ray.
