Peruvians from beastcoast Long Sogpeg started off this professional season with a win at the DPC SA 2023 Tour 1: Division I, which earned the players $30,000 in prize money. The BTS Pro Series Season 14: Americas Regional ended with beastcoast finishing fourth in the standings and an additional $3,000 in prize money. The trip to Lima Major 2023 was unsuccessful for the representatives of South America. The 9th-12th place left the team without an award. The team also won the DPC SA 2023 Tour 2: Division I, which allowed them to go to the Major tournament in Berlin. Before that, beastcoast secured sixth place at DreamLeague Season 19, a tournament in the ESL Pro Tour Dota 2 2023 series. At the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 beastcoast were also unsuccessful and were one of the first to drop out of the tournament. Second place at DPC SA 2023 Tour 3: Division I brought the team $28,000 in prize money. 9th-10th place at DreamLeague Season 20 allowed beastcoast to earn another $25,000. The trip to Bali Major 2023 was the most successful of all three Major tournaments this season. The team managed to finish in the top 8, earn DPC points and a consolation prize of $12,500.
The previous professional tournament for beastcoast was the Riyadh Masters 2023. There, the Peruvian squad made it to Group B of the Play-In stage. A 1-0-4 statistic ensured Stinger and his teammates sixth place and a trip to the Decider matches. A 0:2 defeat to TSM deprived beastcoast of a chance to qualify for the group stage of the LAN tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 17th-20th place finish earned beastcoast a $50,000 consolation prize.
The Peruvian club made it to BetBoom Dacha thanks to a direct invitation from the organisers of the event. Beastcoast started their journey in Group B. The team defeated Nigma Galaxy, Ledgeil Gaimin Gladiators and drew with 9Pandas. This performance forced the Peruvians to play a bo1 tiebreaker against 9Pandas, which they won. This is how the team made it to the play-offs stage. The defeat of Team Secret on two maps in a row sent beastcoast to the bottom net.
Statistics of beastcoast's last results:
- 0:2 defeat to Team Secret
- 1:0 win over 9Pandas
- A 1:1 draw with 9Pandas.
- 0:2 defeat by Gaimin Gladiators
- 2:0 win over Nigma Galaxy
Evil Geniuses uniform
Evil Geniuses' South American squad started the year with the DPC SA 2023 Tour 1: Division I, where they finished in second place and earned $28,000 and 180 DPC points. The squad then travelled to Lima Major 2023 where they reached the top 6 and earned $25,000 and 200 ranking points as a reward. In the second round of the ranking season, EG repeated their result and finished second at DPC SA 2023 Tour 2: Division I, earning $28,000 and more points to qualify for The International 2023. Seventh place at DreamLeague Season 19 earned Matthew and his team $42,500 in prize money. ESL One Berlin Major 2023 was an even bigger success for the South American club. Fourth place guaranteed the team $50,000 and 350 DPC points. A win at the DPC SA 2023 Tour 3: Division I secured Evil Geniuses a direct invitation to The International 2023 and a $30,000 grand prize. The second tournament of the ESL Pro Tour Dota 2 2023 series, DreamLeague Season 20, ended with Evil Geniuses taking sixth place and $47,500 in prize money. At Bali Major 2023, the Peruvians performed poorly and finished 17th-18th in the standings, but this event didn't change anything for them, as the team will still go to the Dota 2 World Championship.
The previous professional tournament in which Evil Geniuses participated was the Riyadh Masters 2023, held recently in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. There the teams competed for an impressive $15,000,000 prize pool. The organisers of the championship invited Matthew and his teammates to the group stage of the tournament, so they did not play in the Play-In EG. The group stage did not go well for Evil Geniuses. The 2-3-2 statistics sent the team to play a tiebreaker against 9Pandas. After losing the bo1 series, EG took the sixth place in Group A. Thus, the players made it to the bottom of the play-offs. The defeat of Team Aster on two maps in a row ended Evil Geniuses' participation at Riyadh Masters 2023. The Peruvians earned $300,000 for 9th-12th place.
The draw for the BetBoom Dacha tournament placed Evil Geniuses in Group A. The team went 1-1-1, which forced them to play in two different tiebreaker series for seeding in the play-offs. After performing poorly, Evil Geniuses travelled to the quarterfinals of the losers' bracket.
Evil Geniuses recent results stats:
- A 1-0 win over Team Secret
- 0:1 defeat to TSM

- 0:2 defeat to TSM

Predicted result of the match beastcoast - Evil Geniuses
Beastcoast have found the keys to victory over their compatriots on most occasions. Let's bet on beastcoast team to win.

Evil Geniuses is the 13th team of the world ranking. DPC managed to finish all three rounds only in 2nd place, as they couldn't beat beastcoast, but the team is obviously stronger than bc, considering the results of the last majors. EG managed to take 5th-6th position at Lima Major, although if they hadn't made any stupid mistakes, they could have gone even higher. Nevertheless, it's still a decent result. Dreamleague Season 19 was a bit worse, finishing in 7th place. At Berlin Major they managed to climb to the 4th place, which is a very strong achievement. DreamLeague Season 20 improved by one position compared to the previous season. They took 6th place. By the Bali Major they seemed to be out of shape and took the last place in the tournament.
Beastcoast is the 18th team of the world ranking. The organisation has no problems with DPC. The first two rounds in South America are ranked 1st, adding more and more points to their piggy bank. But at major tournaments there are some problems. Lima Major was not a good tournament at all. The team managed to take only 9-12th place. In comparison DreamLeague was a little better. They took the deserved 6th place. At Berlin Major unfortunately they could not show anything, finishing the tournament in 13th-14th place. They showed a classic result in the 3rd round of DPC, taking 2nd place. At DreamLeague S20 play without K1 and take 9th-10th place. After the information appears that K1 left the team and now Parker will play instead of him on a permanent basis. At the last major they took the top 8.
Historically, at major tournaments EG go further, but in head-to-head matches they lose to BC. At this tournament, I favour the latter's performance more. I think we will see all three cards.
I'm a prognosticator, that's what I do for a living. I devote all my time to it. I have no other interests.
I've been doing this for a long time and I have achieved some success in it. Whether you believe me or not is up to you. But why not give it a try? Maybe you like this kind of life!
