The second and final match of the day was a Legend Group showdown between Hanwha Life Esports and Nongshim RedForce. Let’s take a look at how the battle between the second and fifth place teams played out.

Game 1 Picks:

  • Nongshim RedForce: Gwen, Xin Zhao, Ryze, Corki, Rell
  • Hanwha Life Esports: Aurora, Wukong, Orianna, Lucian, Braum

Game 2 Picks:

  • Nongshim RedForce: Sylas, Trundle, Azir, Sivir, Leona
  • Hanwha Life Esports: Rumble, Sejuani, Yone, Kai`Sa, Bard

Game 1 was completely under the control of Hanwha Life Esports. HLE started by dominating the bot lane, giving Viper an early lead, and then followed it up with phenomenal map control. They seemed to be everywhere — always arriving just in time to assist teammates, which allowed them to win every skirmish. By the 20-minute mark, they had already built a gold lead of over 6,000. From there, all HLE needed to do was play it out cleanly — and they did just that. After winning a few more fights, they secured Baron and closed out the game without much resistance.

Game 2 was far more competitive. Nongshim RedForce woke up and began playing more proactively — choosing better positions for fights and generally looking more confident. However, HLE’s superior macro play — the reason they hold second place in the tournament — eventually made the difference. After losing a few skirmishes, Hanwha Life Esports began pressing the map harder, catching NS champions in places they didn’t expect enemies to be. Many of HLE’s fights happened deep in the enemy jungle, catching their opponents off guard and giving them the upper hand. After several of these favorable engages, the gold lead snowballed to the point where HLE could confidently take any 5v5 fight and come out on top. The result: a clean 2–0 victory for HLE.

The MVP of the match was Viper, who delivered an absolutely dominant performance — going 11/1/9 on Lucian and 14/1/8 on Kai’Sa, including a well-earned quadra kill.

With this win, HLE further solidify their hold on second place in the Legend Group with a 16–5 record. Nongshim RedForce, unfortunately, now sit at 10–11 with a more negative result.
