Greetings to all League of Legends esports fans! At EGamersWorld, together we continue to analyze the events of LEC Summer 2022 and make our predictions. Let me remind you that this is the largest League of Legends tournament in Europe, and €200,000 EUR and three places at Worlds 2022 are at stake.
SK Gaming vs M.A.D. Lions
The second match of the day will be between SK Gaming and MAD Lions. And if the fact that the "lions" are playing well does not surprise anyone, then last week and yesterday SK Gaming showed a very good game. But can they compete with MAD is a good question. My opinion is that they were lucky to catch previous opponents in not the best shape, while MAD Lions will be too tough for them.
SK Gaming Uniform
Relatively average LEC team of the last four years, but half a head below their current rival. Most often, they took places just below the middle of the list, not reaching the playoffs.
After the end of 2018, the team lost its good roster with Scarface, Phrenic, SozPurefect and began to change the roster literally at the beginning of each new split, which is not reflected in the best way on chemistry. Fortunately, now the roster has remained untouched since LEC Spring 2022.
The team had a very, very sad start with a score of 1-6 at the end of the third game week of the LEC, but the last two weeks have given them the opportunity to comeback 4-6 and level with teams like Astralis, breaking away from BDS.
I want to note their draft as a separate item. Either they are so unlucky and the enemy constantly wins the draft, or the team itself takes not very working and harmonious compositions. A big and fat minus in their piggy bank.
A mediocre team compared to the level of competition we see at this year's European Summer Split. Not sure if SK will rise much from their 9th position.

Form M.A.D. Lions
Top 4 team in the European League of Legends pro-scene, however, which has fallen heavily in ratings and power ratings after changing their roster.
And I remind you that since the moment MAD Lions were still known as Splyce, they constantly showed us a performance worthy of 3rd - 4th place in each LEC split. But the recent LEC Spring 2022 was, to put it mildly, a failure for them.
The team is very well known for not often changing its players in the first team, and therefore good teamwork is always expected from them. However, in the spring, they changed their mid-laner to Nisqy and ADK to UNF0RGIVEN. By the way, Nisqy has already received MVP three times and looks pretty good.
So far, MAD Lions are doing well and perhaps this summer split will be a chance for them to break through to the Worlds again. The "Lions" demonstrate a measured and thoughtful team game, which earned them their 2nd place in the standings at the moment with a score, losing only to RGE, XL and MSF.
They show themselves quite well, both in the draft, in team maneuvers, and in map control.

Meeting history
Let's turn to the most obvious example - their recent game between themselves, within the same tournament: where the "lions" showed their fangs and finished the match without any problems or resistance from a position of complete domination. The score is 2:15 in kills, all 4 dragons are with the MAD Lions team. I don't think it's worth writing further.
Match outcome
In my opinion, the obvious outcome of the match should be the victory of MAD Lions, which many bookmakers do not doubt. After all, they are still in fairly consistently good shape and know what and how to do against SK Gaming. With this opponent, MAD should have no issues.
Bottom line: a very confident victory for MAD Lions
