Slowly but surely, the LEC Spring 2024 regular season is coming to a close. The group stage of the tournament is about to come to its logical conclusion and we will find out the names of all play-offs participants.

So far half of the slots in the main stage are occupied: G2 Esports, Fnatic, Heretics and Vitality have already taken their places in the main stage. MAD Lions KOI with BDS has a chance to join them.

We are trying to find out who of the pair BDS - MAD Lions KOI will be stronger and, with a high probability, will earn a ticket to the play-offs.

BDS Form

Let's open the match analysis with an analysis of the BDS form. In this match, they play the number one side with odds to win at around 1.7.

At LEC Winter 2023, BDS made it to the group stage, but quickly fell out of it, finishing in the last place in their quartet. The result was a top-7 finish.

Next up was LEC Spring 2023 and BDS' moment of glory. Completely unexpectedly, they reached the grand final, but there they lost to MAD Lions, who were on a terrific spree in the spring.

Before LEC Finals 2023 BDS played at LEC Summer 2023. They were one map short of reaching the play-offs. The championship ended on the 5th place.

Thanks to the near top places and TOP 2 at LEC Spring 2023 BDS managed to get to LEC Finals 2023, and also to the top grid, where they got to G2 Esports in the first round. The International didn't end up with anything interesting and G2 had no trouble closing out the match with a 3-1 score.

After the defeat from the main favourite of LEC Finals 2023 - G2 Esports - BDS played against SK Gaming. The German club was unable to give anything to the French and fell with a score of 0-3.

However, BDS' path to the LEC Finals 2023 ended with the game against SK. The team lost to Fnatic 2-3 in the next round of the lower bracket, thus failing to make it into the top 3 of the tournament for direct participation in the main tournament.

BDS have already started Worlds 2023 on a positive note. They ran over Golden Guardians at the Worlds Qualifying Series, thus snatching a slot in the same Play-In.

After a confidence-boosting win over GG at the Worlds Qualifying Series, BDS unexpectedly fell in their first match at Worlds 2023. They lost to No. 2 Vietnam, thus becoming the main losers of the World Championship so far.

They managed to partially rehabilitate themselves in the match against DFM. The Japanese club did not provide proper resistance and BDS closed the series with a very simple 2-0.

In the match for the exit here BDS played against CTBC. The Frenchmen outclassed their opponents, closing the series 2-0.

BDS battled PSG Talon to advance to the group stage. The French were a map away from elimination, but on the third map Adam and his Olaf gave his team a chance to clinch a comeback and BDS took it: a reverse sweep in the group stage match actually allowed BDS to qualify for the group stage.

In the group stage of Worlds 2023, BDS first ran into JD Gaming. Obviously, the first team of the world was not up to the French and they lost without much of a chance. Next was a match against MAD Lions and again an ironclad defeat. The BDS final at Worlds 2023 was as ignominious as their entire stay at the tournament - they lost 0-2 to Dplus.

BDS will make their LEC Winter 2024 debut against G2 Esports. Cheers to them! Later on it will be a match against GIANTX, which will be easier, but not easy.

BDS had almost no equal in the regular season of LEC Winter 2024. The French club lost only 2 matches: the first one of the year against G2 Esports and the last one in the regular season against Karmine Corp.

In the play-offs LEC Winter 2024 met Team Heretics. There, the French beat Heretics 2-0 on class. The quarter-finals were not much harder for BDS: again a confident 2-0 win, but now against Vitality. They fell to the lower set after a scoreless defeat to G2 Esports in the small final of the upper set. And already there they lost to MAD Lions.

LEC Spring 2024 started much worse than the winter split. In the first week, BDS lost to G2 and Vitality, and beat only the worst team in the region, Rogue. The second week of LEC Spring 2024 BDS went 2-1, which moved them to the middle of the standings. Week 3 is going well: the French have already beaten Fnatic, which is not bad.

We continue our match breakdown with an analysis of MAD Lions KOI's match form. In this match they are playing as the number two, but the odds for their victory are at around 2.1, indicating a potentially even game.

Based on the LEC 2023 spring split, it looked like the MAD Lions were all-in. "The Lions made up ground on the tiebreaker in the group stage and barely made it to the group stage. There, they fought, sweat and blood to reach the play-offs, where they defeated future rival G2 Esports in the first round in a tough Bo5, but their misfortunes didn't end there either: they needed to defeat Vitality (3-1) and complete a Reverse Sweep against BDS in the grand finals.

The Lions have a fighting roster, no doubt about it. They have proved it many times in practice, which, however, does not always lead to high performance, first of all on the international stage, but sometimes on the home stage as well.

For example, MSI 2023 and top 8 there, which is good in principle, but the result at LEC Summer 2023 is already sad. At the last LEC Championships MAD Lions, the reigning Spring Split champions, crashed out at the Top 7 position, which is clearly not the level.

LEC Finals 2023 MAD Lions started with a match against EXCEL. The opening match of the summer split against MAD Lions temporarily confirmed the thesis of a one-tournament team, losing to the "lions" with a score of 0-3 without a chance.

In the match before that, MAD Lions played against G2 Esports. Obviously, they lost, with a score of 1-3.

In the battle for a slot at the LEC Finals 2023 Grand Final, MAD Lions Ledge and Fnatic. The colourful game ended with the score 2-3 in favour of the Orange. Thus, MAD Lions qualified for the Worlds 2023 on the third quota from Europe.

"Lions" Long Sogpeg at Worlds 2023 with a loss to Cloud9 and continued their performance on the main stage of the year with a win in the European derby against BDS. In the third game, MAD Lions Ledge fought through a seemingly passable match against NRG Esports. In the decisive match at Worlds 2023, the team played against Weibo. Decisive because MAD Lions Ledge went 0-2 and crashed out of the Worlds.

MAD Lions will try to return to the top of the European League of Legends with a match against Team Heretics. It will be difficult for the Lions there, but they should win the game against SK Gaming, sort of. On the whole, it turned out to be the opposite: we beat Heretics and lost to SK Gaming. In the third match they played against Karmine Corp and it was a real extravaganza: The International ernet war between fans, about 750,000 thousand spectators at the peak and the final victory of MAD Lions.

MAD Lions went through the group stage with problems. The team closed the group with a score of 5-4.

In the first round of play-offs, the Lions met Fnatic. "Orange" played very well and slammed MAD Lions with a score of 2-0. After getting to the bottom of the play-offs MAD Lions KOI played against GiantX, where they beat one of the brightest teams from the LEC Summer 2023 at the end of last season. The Lions then went on to defeat Vitality. But in the third round of the lower grid they had to make serious trouble: they finished the series with Fnatic with a score of 3-2. The game against BDS in the small final of LEC Winter 2024 was similar, where MAD Lions barely defeated the French, who played with substitutes.

In the grand final of LEC Winter 2024, MAD Lions lost to G2 Esports 1-3. With that, they finished in the top 2 at LEC Winter 2024.

The first week of LEC Spring 2024 went 1-2. SK won, but Ledge beat G2 Esports and GiantX. The second week of LEC Spring 2024 MAD Lions KOI went 1-2 and are on the 8th line of the group stage. For the third week, MAD Lions lost their first game against Heretics.

Most popular MAD Lions champions

Fiora (2 matches, 100% wins) and KSante (2 matches, 50% wins) appeared in the top for MAD Lions most often. Renekton (1 game, 100% wins) and Gnar (1 game and that defeat) were also taken.

Sejuani (3 matches, 66% wins) is popular in the forest. Next is Wukong with 2 appearances and 50% wins, and there was also Maokai who won his only match.

On the centre line, Viktor (1-1) and Akali (1-1) have 2 matches each. Azir and Sylas won their matches.

Among shooters Varus appeared most often (3 matches, 66% of wins). Lucian was picked 2 times (1-1) and Sivir was picked once more (1-0).

Thresh (1-1), Lulu (1-1) were picked more often than others. Nami and Ashe, who appeared 1 time each, won their matches.
