We're finishing up with a breakdown of the LEC Winter 2024 regular season. With one day left to play before the Long Run of the main stage of the Winter Split, the teams have one more day to play.

The second match of the last game day of LEC Winter 2024 Regular Season is a match between BDS and Karmine Corp. A match of teams with diametrically opposite results during the group stage.

We will try to find out which of the teams will be stronger, even though the match has zero value in terms of the tournament. Still The International is interesting to see if Karmine Corp will be able to earn prestige points, especially in a match against a rather serious opponent, who are BDS.

BDS Form

Let's open the match analysis with an analysis of BDS form. In this match they will play the number one, with odds to win at around 1.4.

At LEC Winter 2023 BDS reached the group stage, but quickly fell out of it, taking the last place in their quartet. The result was a top-7 finish.

Next up was LEC Spring 2023 and BDS' moment of glory. Completely unexpectedly, they reached the grand final, but there they lost to MAD Lions, who were on a terrific spree in the spring.

Before LEC Finals 2023 BDS played at LEC Summer 2023. They were one map short of reaching the play-offs. The championship ended on the 5th place.

Thanks to the near top places and TOP 2 at LEC Spring 2023 BDS managed to get to LEC Finals 2023, and also to the top grid, where they got to G2 Esports in the first round. The International didn't end up with anything interesting and G2 had no trouble closing out the match with a 3-1 score.

After the defeat from the main favourite of LEC Finals 2023 - G2 Esports - BDS played against SK Gaming. The German club was unable to give anything to the French and fell with a score of 0-3.

However, BDS' path to the LEC Finals 2023 ended with the game against SK. The team lost to Fnatic 2-3 in the next round of the lower bracket, thus failing to make it into the top 3 of the tournament for direct participation in the main tournament.

BDS have already started Worlds 2023 on a positive note. They ran over Golden Guardians at the Worlds Qualifying Series, thus snatching a slot in the same Play-In.

After a confidence-boosting win over GG at the Worlds Qualifying Series, BDS unexpectedly fell in their first match at Worlds 2023. They lost to No. 2 Vietnam, thus becoming the main losers of the World Championship so far.

They managed to partially rehabilitate themselves in the match against DFM. The Japanese club did not provide proper resistance and BDS closed the series with a very simple 2-0.

In the match for the exit here BDS played against CTBC. The Frenchmen outclassed their opponents, closing the series 2-0.

BDS battled PSG Talon to advance to the group stage. The French were a map away from elimination, but on the third map Adam and his Olaf gave his team a chance to clinch a comeback and BDS took it: a reverse sweep in the group stage match actually allowed BDS to qualify for the group stage.

In the group stage of Worlds 2023, BDS first ran into JD Gaming. Obviously, the first team of the world was not strong enough for the French and they lost without any problems. Next was a match against MAD Lions and again an ironclad defeat. The BDS final at Worlds 2023 was as ignominious as their entire stay at the tournament - they lost 0-2 to Dplus.

BDS will make their LEC Winter 2024 debut against G2 Esports. Cheers to them! Later on it will be a match against GIANTX, which will be easier, but not easy.

At LEC Winter 2024 Regular Season, BDS are keeping the bar high. The French Ledge only lost once, to G2 Esports in the opening match of the season.

Karmine Corp Form

We continue our match review with an analysis of Karmine Corp's match form. In this match, they will play the number two side, with odds to win at around 2.8.

Despite their great popularity in Europe, Karmine Corp are absolute newcomers to the LEC league. The French team has previously played on the local scene, competing against compatriots, and has also played in various TIR-2 events within the LEC ecosystem.

For 2023, the teami has a very strong record, having played in 4 tournaments. For professional teams in League of Legends, this is significant, as most of them play exclusively in a single league.

Karmine Corp started with LFL Spring 2023 and had a terrible start. At the local league the team played 7-11 in the group stage, which was not even enough to qualify for the play-offs.

Things improved dramatically from there and Karmine Corp lifted the championship trophy over their heads twice in a row. The first time at LFL Summer 2023 and the second time at EMEA Masters Summer 2023. Incidentally, Masters Karmine Corp have won 4 times in the team's history and that is a significant statistic.

The last tournament of last season was the Coup De France 2024 championship. Either there was no priority for the event, or they were not in shape at all, but KC took the top 8 there.

Karmine Corp became a member of LEC through the purchase of a slot from Astralis. The Danish club, which did not achieve results last season, decided to sell its place in the prestigious league. Whether they did the right thing - we will find out later.

In the first match of LEC Winter 2024 Karmine Corp will play against Fnatic. In that match I believe in the victory of Karmine. After that - the game against G2 Esports and there Karmine Corp will be much more difficult. However, with Fnatic everything turned out to be the opposite: KC won, and with G2 Esports - everything is logical, an easy victory for the "samurai".

Karmine Corp officially became the worst team of LEC Winter 2024 ahead of time. Before Long Sogpeg of their last match in the regular season, KC have a 1-7 statistic, with their only win coming in week 3 against SK Gaming.

For me in this French derby, everything is pretty clear-cut. Even with a lot of desire, BDS are unlikely to lose in this match. I admit that there will be place roflam and other experimental drafts, but even in such conditions BDS look a few heads above the still raw Karmine Corp.

Bottom line: BDS wins.
