As part of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 roundup, we've reached the betting rounds for the T1 vs JD Gaming match. The close matches continue and it can't help but feel good.

The Asian tops will battle it out for the place in the MSI 2023 grand final. The match promises to be as hot as possible, for on paper the two clubs are as close as possible to each other, and their performance suggests about the same level of play.

We will try to see who will be stronger in this round of LPL vs LCK and at the end of the match will be the first finalist of MSI 2023.

There are a few unwritten rules in competitive League of Legends and a couple of patterns as well. One of these is that if T1s play, they are always the favourites.

For the roster of the T1 Mid-Season Invitational 2023 is particularly crucial. It is not just an occasion for them to win the first international tournament of the season, but also a chance to shake off the curse of the grand final. T1 have already lost 4 finals on their record, and it's hard to think of a more symbolic way to break it than MSI 2023.

So far, T1 are doing well, although you can't call their journey easy. In the first round, of course, everything went smoothly, MAD Lions didn't make an obstacle or anything.

But in the second round, it was much more hectic. T1 played against their main rival, fellow Gen.G. The rematch of the LCK Spring 2023 grand final was more than upbeat and ended on map 5 in favor of T1.

• In the Forest, Vi (11 games, 72% wins), Sejuani (10 games, 80% wins), Wukong (7 games, 85% wins), Le Sin (6 games, 83% wins) were picks.

• On the centre line were Azir (13 games, 69% wins), Gragas (6 games, 100% wins), Kassadin (5 games, 100% wins), Viktor (4 games, 75% wins).

• The most popular ADC is Lucian (12 games, 83% wins). Next are Varus (8 games, 87% wins), Caitlyn (5 games, 100% wins), Zeri (4 games, 75% wins).

• Nami (13 games, 84% win rate). Ashe and Lux have 4 games and 4 wins each.

T1 are ready to advance to the grand final of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023, but their opponent is not vigilant either. After Gen.G, T1 will face another test.

JD Gaming's form

We continue our review of the JD Gaming - T1 match with a breakdown of the JD Gaming uniforms. In this match, the LPL representative will play as the underdog.

The odds of JD Gaming winning are estimated at odds around 1.9. It can be seen that the gap T1 is minimal, and given the format of the match bo5 and the overall level of play of the clubs, we have parity.

It is logical, because JD Gaming is another contender to win and the reigning LPL champion. Given the increased level of play there in recent years, the LPL teams are deservedly respected.

We'll be treated to a roughly identical playstyle on both sides. Again, expect a close match with a potentially "unexpected" outcome.

History of head-to-head encounters between T1 and JD Gaming

The only match the teams played in Worlds 2022. The Boomers won then, with T1 winning 3-1, leaving JD Gaming no chance. Now the LPL champions will have a chance to get even.

Result of the match

The Bracket Stage MSI 2023 top net final should be hot and close and there is every reason to believe so. However, I will believe in a T1 win.

They are slightly better at adapting and playing more flexible LoL. The same Nautilus on the centre line is T1's calling card.

I don't believe in a clean win for T1 though. Given how hard they beat Gen.G, the match with JDG won't end easily for them.

Bottom line: 3-2 win for T1.
