Paper Rex tok seg til semifinalen VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen

The Paper Rex team outplayed Guild Esports with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they made it to the semi-finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen. In turn, the European team fell into the lower bracket of the championship, where they will play with FunPlus Phoenix for the right to stay at the event.

The first quarter-final of the game day started on the map Ascent, which became the choice of the European team. However, the Paper Rex players quickly seized the initiative, closing the first half with a two-fold advantage. Well, after the change of sides, the Indonesians finished what they started without any problems, and at the same time they took the lead in the series - 13:4.

Next, the teams moved to the Fracture map, which became the choice of Paper Rex. At the same time, the teams were unable to identify the strongest in regular time, exchanging equal halves. And yet, in a series of overtimes, the Paper Rex players were closer to victory, thus making it to the semi-finals of the championship — 14:12.

Note that Paper Rex did not play this meeting with the full squad, because f0rsakeN dropped out due to the coronavirus. However, the player helped his team from a separate room.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, the Americas, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia compete for a prize pool of $650,000, as well as ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
