League of Legends Nytt for Fools Day-skinn: Oversikt, Splash Arts og pris

The annual April Fools' tradition in League of Legends is approaching, as Riot Games prepares their customary release for this date. This year, the event brings six skins for Mordekaiser, Blitzcrank, Sejuani, Vex, Tahm Kench, and Swain. There will be no battle pass for this event, meaning all of the new skins will be available exclusively for direct purchase in the store. Let's take a look at the upcoming skins.

League of Legends All Fool Day Skins

As I mentioned above, we are getting six unique skins with plenty of visual and sound effects. Here is the list of skins coming soon:

Prestige Money Miser Mordekaiser

The main highlight among the new releases is the Prestige Money Miser Mordekaiser. Beautifully chosen colors, combining a stylish white suit with gold accents, present Mordekaiser as a true titan of industry. His presence feels like a cold boardroom, and his weapon is a massive holographic stock chart.

The developers did an incredible job with his ultimate ability. Mordekaiser now transports his rival not to the Death Realm, but directly into a sterile, high-stress corporate office. It perfectly captures the terrifying feeling of being called in for an unexpected and very serious performance review with the absolute boss. With this addition, Corporate Mundo finally has a worthy and equally demanding business colleague.

Choncc Kench Skin

Another addition to this year's lineup is Choncc Kench. This skin completely transforms the River King into a giant version of Choncc from Teamfight Tactics. The aesthetic is purely fun and whimsical, featuring a soft color palette of pink, cream, and lime green. He is seen here lazily enjoying a snack on a picnic blanket, embodying a cozy glutton vibe.

Developers have updated his visual and sound effects to match this playful appearance. Additionally, the skin will be available in 9 different color palettes (chromas) right at launch.

Pug Trainer Sejuani

Pug Trainer Sejuani completely transforms the gritty warrior into a cheerful dog handler. The aesthetic of this release is bright and comical, replacing her usual fearsome mount with a gigantic pug in a sporty outfit, shifting the focus from a serious battle atmosphere to a fun and lighthearted concept.

The developers have updated her visual and sound effects to match this new, good-natured look, making it perfect for players who want to add a bit of humor to the game. Just like the previous releases, this skin will be available in 9 different color palettes right at launch.

Bubble Bash Blitzcrank

Bubble Bash Blitzcrank transforms the formidable steam golem into a fun and playful toy robot completely filled with bubble fluid. Its dark steam engine is replaced by a clear reservoir containing a blue gel, while its head now looks like a friendly toy in a cap. The iconic details, such as the spring limbs and the giant gel-like hook arm, fit perfectly into the overall concept of this lighthearted and carefree event.

Developers focused not only on the visual aspects but also on the sound: players can expect joyful bubble pops and splashes when using abilities, making the gameplay lighter and more entertaining. As with other skins in this lineup, Bubble Bash Blitzcrank will be available in 9 different color palettes (chromas) immediately upon release.

Surprise Party Vex

Surprise Party Vex is built on a delightful contradiction that is perfect for April Fools'. The entire essence of Vex revolves around gloom, apathy, and a dislike for anything bright or cheerful. This skin, however, forcibly places her at the center of a loud celebration, dressing her in an absurd, clown-inspired outfit full of chaotic colors.

This stark contrast between her perpetual misery and the mandatory fun creates a unique comic effect. Despite the bright colors, she still sounds sad, which makes the skin stand out even more. Her loyal Shadow has also been transformed into a giant, slightly ominous monster made of confetti and balloons, ready to "delight" her enemies on the Rift. Like the other skins in this collection, Surprise Party Vex will be available with 9 unique chromas at launch.

Fried Chicken King Swain

Fried Chicken King Swain completes this year's playful lineup, radically transforming the serious Noxian Grand General into a jovial fast-food CEO. He trades his severe military aesthetic for a sharp white business suit with golden trim, paired with a yellow shirt, red bowtie, and a proper royal crown resting on his white hair. He even sports round glasses and a "CEO" name tag.

The most drastic change is his formidable demonic power, which is now represented by massive, glowing golden pieces of fried poultry that form his left arm and float around him like wings. In his hand, he holds a bucket of fried chicken featuring a mascot that looks suspiciously like a stylized version of his own face. Background elements show floating chicken parts and joyful customers, solidifying his dominance over the fast-food market. Players can expect satisfying crunching sound effects and visual effects involving golden oil or hot sauce when using his abilities. Like the other skins, Fried Chicken King Swain will launch with 9 unique chromas.

Impressions of the New League of Legends Fools Day Skins

The Fools Day skins line is one of my favorites, as the characters don’t just change their appearance - they seem to change their very essence. It’s especially приятно to see that, compared to last year’s New League of Legends skins for April Fools’ Day, the quality has clearly improved - Prestige Money Miser Mordekaiser is a great example of that.

It’s a bit disappointing, of course, that he can only be obtained through Mythic Essence, and it’s frustrating to see Prestige skins being moved into a gacha system. But overall, I think this year’s skins turned out very interesting and are definitely worth their 1350 RP.
