Slay The Spire 2: Beste byggesett for hver karakter

Slay the Spire 2 launched into early access with five playable characters, each built around a distinct mechanical identity and each carrying one archetype that consistently outperforms the rest. Silent generates Shivs at zero cost and amplifies them through Accuracy stacks. Defect chains Uproar recursively through a stripped deck. Necrobinder scales Osty into a persistent damage shield. Regent converts Star generation into Stardust nukes. Ironclad ran the Hellraiser Infinity loop until Beta Patch v0.100.0 closed it. Each build below represents the current strongest option for its character, grounded in how each archetype performs against Act 3 bosses at higher Ascension levels.

Silent Best Build

Slay The Spire 2: Best Build For Each Character 1

The Shiv Deck generates as many zero-cost Shiv cards as possible, then amplifies each hit through Accuracy stacks — the loop requires no energy to sustain and closes fights through raw card volume.

CardTypeEffectUpgraded
Blade DanceSkillAdds 3 Shivs to hand, ExhaustsAdds 4 Shivs to hand
Infinite BladesPowerGenerates 1 Shiv at the start of each turnInnate; Shiv appears at the start of combat
Knife TrapSkillCosts 2 energy; plays every Shiv in your Exhaust Pile against the target enemyUpgrades each Shiv before playing it
AccuracyPowerIncreases Shiv damage for the rest of combatIncreases Shiv damage by a greater amount
Fan of KnivesSkillAdds 5 Shivs to hand; Shivs now hit all enemiesAdds 5 Shivs, upgraded damage to all enemies
Cloak and DaggerSkillGrants Block and adds 1 Shiv to handGrants more Block, adds 1 Shiv
A Thousand CutsPowerWhenever you play a card, deal 4 damage to a random enemyDeals increased damage per card played

Upgraded Infinite Blades shifts from a drawn card to a permanent combat opener, guaranteeing a Shiv on turn one before Ring of the Snake's two bonus draws resolve. Fan of Knives converts all Shiv damage to AoE, solving the build's multi-enemy weakness in a single card play. Stacking multiple Accuracy copies turns ten zero-cost attacks into burst damage that threatens elite HP totals without a single energy-cost attack in hand.

Defect Best Build

Slay The Spire 2: Best Build For Each Character 2

Uproar chains through the deck by playing itself off copies in the draw pile, pulling only the high-cost attack cards left after Strikes are removed — the loop requires no Orb management and closes fights through recursive free plays.

CardTypeEffectUpgraded
UproarAttackDeals 5 damage twice; plays a random Attack from your Draw PileDeals 9 damage twice; plays a random Attack from Draw Pile
Meteor StrikeAttackDeals heavy damage; generates Plasma OrbsIncreased damage; generates additional Plasma
Ice LanceAttackDeals damage; Channels Frost for defenseIncreased damage and Frost generation
NullAttackDeals 10 damage; applies 2 Weak; Channels 1 DarkIncreased damage; applies more Weak
CoolheadedSkillChannels 1 Frost; draws 1 cardChannels 1 Frost; draws 2 cards

Play Uproar with a second copy in the deck, and it fires the second for free, which pulls another attack from the draw pile and continues the chain. Every Strike removed raises the probability that each trigger lands on Meteor Strike, Ice Lance, or Null rather than a dead card. Meteor Strike, played for free, generates Plasma Orbs, which feed energy into Coolheaded and Overclock to extend the turn further without spending additional energy. Frost Orbs generated passively handle defense in the background while the attack chain closes fights in the foreground.

Necrobinder Best Build

Slay The Spire 2: Best Build For Each Character 3

The Osty Deck treats Necrobinder's giant animated hand as the primary damage dealer and damage absorber simultaneously — scaling Osty's HP through Spur and directing his attacks through Sic 'Em converts his summon pool into an effectively infinite defensive resource.

CardTypeEffectUpgraded
Pull AggroSkillSummon 4; gain 7 BlockSummon 5; gain 9 Block
SnapAttackOsty deals 7 damage; adds Retain to a card in handOsty deals 10 damage
FetchAttackOsty deals 3 damage; draws 1 card if first play this turnOsty deals 6 damage
FlattenAttackOsty deals 12 damage; costs 0 if Osty has attacked this turnOsty deals 16 damage
Sic 'EmAttackOsty deals 5 damage; Summon 2 for each hit this turnOsty deals 6 damage; Summon 3 per hit
SpurSkillRetain; Summon 3; Osty heals 5 HPSummon 5; Osty heals 7 HP

Necrobinder starts each run with lower HP than any other character, and Osty's HP pool compensates directly — because Osty's health does not function as Block, it does not reset at the end of each turn, which means damage absorbed by Osty accumulates without draining Necrobinder's fixed HP total. Spur heals Osty while generating Summon stacks, compounding both the defensive pool and the offensive output in a single card play. Flatten costs 0 energy after Osty attacks, allowing it to resolve as a free 16-damage hit on turns where Sic 'Em or Fetch has already activated Osty earlier in the sequence. I run this archetype specifically when the run's early card rewards lean toward Spur and Sic 'Em rather than Doom-based payoffs, since the Osty engine comes online faster and requires no rare cards to function at elite level.

Regent Best Build

Slay The Spire 2: Best Build For Each Character 4

The Star Build generates Stars through Genesis, Glow, and Hidden Cache, then converts the accumulated total into massive multi-hit damage through Stardust and Radiate — the engine scales with deck size and runs best at 15–18 cards.

CardTypeEffectUpgraded
GenesisPowerAt the start of your turn, gain 2 StarsGain 3 Stars per turn
GlowSkillGain 1 Star; draw 2 cardsGain 2 Stars; draw 2 cards
Hidden CacheSkillGain 1 Star; next turn gain 3 StarsGain 1 Star; next turn gain 5 Stars
StardustSkillDeal 5 damage to a random enemy X times based on Stars spentDeal 7 damage X times
Black HolePowerWhenever you spend or gain a Star, deal 3 damage to all enemiesDeals increased damage per Star
RadiateSkillDeal 3 damage to all enemies for each Star gained this turnDeals increased damage per Star gained

Genesis resolves the Star generation problem for the entire run once it hits the board — 2 free Stars per turn before any card is played stacks quickly against multi-turn elite fights. Black Hole adds passive AoE damage to every Star transaction, turning both generation and spending into board-wide pressure without a dedicated attack card in hand. Radiate paired with a Royal Gamble or Hidden Cache activation on the same turn generates enough Stars in a single hand to wipe groups of enemies before they act. Keeping the deck at 15–18 cards ensures Genesis, Hidden Cache, and Stardust cycle back within two turns of each other.

Ironclad Best Build

Slay The Spire 2: Best Build For Each Character 5

The Hellraiser Infinity Deck runs on Hellraiser and Pommel Strike, but the configuration is flexible — burn unnecessary cards through Exhaust, retain draw pieces, and manage energy each turn to sustain the loop.

CardTypeEffectUpgraded
HellraiserPowerAuto-plays every drawn Strike against a random enemy for freeReduced energy cost
Pommel StrikeAttackDeals 9 damage, draws 1 cardDeals 9 damage, draws 2 cards
StampedeAttackPlays all remaining non-Strike attacks in handApplies bonus damage
Exhaust cardsRemove deck clutter mid-run, keeping only loop-relevant pieces in rotation

Play Hellraiser, draw into Pommel Strike, it fires automatically against a random enemy, draws again, repeats. Two copies of Pommel Strike are the minimum — one exits the loop before it closes. Exhaust cards strip the deck down during the run so each draw pulls what the loop needs rather than dead cards. Battle Trance is forbidden in this build: playing it draws three cards but blocks all further draws that turn, breaking the cycle Hellraiser depends on entirely.

I think the Infinity Deck was Ironclad's most dominant archetype before Beta Patch v0.100.0 targeted it directly — the patch reworked Expect a Fight, Dominate, Spite, and Stoke in a balance pass explicitly aimed at making infinites harder to achieve, which reduced the build's consistency at higher Ascension levels and pushed Ironclad below the other four characters in current meta standings.

Slay The Spire 2 Character Tierlist

Five characters compete in Slay the Spire 2's current early access build, and their relative power tracks directly with how accessible each character's Tier-S archetype is and how much that archetype was affected by the v0.100.0 balance patch.

  • TIER-S: Silent
  • TIER A: Defect
  • TIER B: Regent, Necrobinder
  • TIER C: Ironclad

Beta Patch v0.100.0 delivered the first major balance pass after launch, with the stated goal of making infinite combos harder to achieve across all characters. Ironclad absorbed the heaviest changes — Expect a Fight, Dominate, Spite, and Stoke were all reworked, directly dismantling the card interactions that made the Hellraiser loop consistent at high Ascension. Hellraiser itself remains in the game, but the supporting infrastructure around it changed enough that the deck now requires more specific card draws to function, raising the variance of every run that attempts it. Silent's Shiv engine and Defect's Uproar chain were not targeted in the same patch, which widened the gap between those two characters and Ironclad in the current build.
