The second and final matchday of the BLAST Spring Final 2024 has concluded. Two teams have been eliminated from the tournament, while the remaining teams have advanced to the playoff stage. Here are the results of the past day.

Results of the last group stage day of BLAST Spring Final 2024

Today, there were a total of four matches, the results of which saw G2 Esports and the Portuguese team SAW finishing in last place, while Natus Vincere and Team Spirit secured slots in the tournament's semifinals. Let's take a closer look at each of the matches.

Astralis vs SAW

The opening match of the last day of the group stage ended without any surprises, as Astralis crushed the Portuguese team SAW on two maps, securing themselves a spot in the playoffs.

  • 1. SAW removed Mirage
  • 2. Astralis removed Anubis
  • 3. SAW picked Dust2 (Astralis 13:6 SAW)
  • 4. Astralis picked Inferno (Astralis 13:3 SAW)
  • 5. SAW removed Ancient
  • 6. Astralis removed Vertigo
  • 7. Nuke was left over

Natus Vincere vs FaZe Clan

Contrary to all the haters and analysts, Natus Vincere are performing well and managed to defeat FaZe Clan, despite being the underdogs in this matchup.

On the first map, Dust 2, FaZe Clan were demolished. Although they won 5 rounds on the defensive side, which should have been sufficient to play comfortably on the attack, karrigan and his team didn't win a single round after switching sides, and NAVI took the first map of the match. The second map was a battle, and in an interview, the FaZe Clan captain mentioned that they had prepared the Nuke map very well, which was evident. Despite FaZe Clan winning their pick, Natus Vincere put up a good fight and managed to win 9 rounds against karrigan and his team. The decisive map was Mirage, where FaZe Clan started very confidently and led 7-0 on the defensive side, but NaVi managed to bring it to a comfortable 7-5. After switching sides, NaVi lost the first two rounds but then displayed an extremely strong defense, while FaZe Clan had a very weak attack on Mirage. This led to the yellow-blacks winning the decisive map 13-10. With this victory, NAVI earned a spot in the semifinals, while FaZe Clan will have to fight their way to the finals starting from the quarterfinals, where their opponent will be Team Vitality.

  • 1. Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  • 2. FaZe removed Ancient
  • 3. Natus Vincere picked Dust2 (Natus Vincere 13:5 FaZe Clan)
  • 4. FaZe picked Nuke (FaZe Clan 13:9 Natus Vincere)
  • 5. Natus Vincere removed Inferno
  • 6. FaZe removed Anubis
  • 7. Mirage was left over (Natus Vincere 13:10 FaZe Clan)

Team Vitality vs G2 Esports

For this matchup, G2 Esports sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov managed to arrive (in the team's first match, their coach TaZ played for them), but it didn't significantly help the team. On the first map, Vitality crushed G2 Esports 13-4. On the second map, Anubis, it was confirmed that Vitality are not at their best on this map, winning only 3 rounds in the first half on the defensive side and at one point trailing 9-0. Team Vitality played slightly better on the attacking side, but it wasn't enough to make a comeback against G2 Esports on Anubis. The decisive map once again ended with a lopsided score in favor of Vitality, and G2 Esports finished last in the tournament and were eliminated.

  • 1. G2 removed Vertigo
  • 2. Vitality removed Ancient
  • 3. G2 picked Inferno (Team Vitality 13:4 G2 Esports)
  • 4. Vitality picked Anubis (G2 Esports 13:9 G2 Esports)
  • 5. G2 removed Dust2
  • 6. Vitality removed Nuke
  • 7. Mirage was left over (Team Vitality 13:5 G2 Esports)

Team Spirit vs Virtus.pro

The last match of the group stage ended with a 2-0 victory for Team Spirit. Virtus.pro played terribly on Ancient, winning only 4 rounds on the defensive side and none on the attacking side. It's clear that Team Spirit worked on their mistakes, as they had lost on this map to G2 Esports with coach TaZ in the lineup yesterday. The second map was more competitive, with Virtus.pro striving to push the match to a deciding third map, but they fell just short of a comeback, losing Dust 2 with a score of 13-11.

  • 1. Spirit removed Inferno
  • 2. Virtus.pro removed Nuke
  • 3. Spirit picked Ancient (Team Spirit 13:4 Virtus.pro)
  • 4. Virtus.pro picked Dust2 (Team Spirit 13:11 Virtus.pro)
  • 5. Spirit removed Anubis
  • 6. Virtus.pro removed Vertigo
  • 7. Mirage was left over
