The peak online viewership for The International 2023 group stage exceeded 748,000, surpassing the previous year's world championship. This new record was achieved during an intense match between Team Spirit and Shopify Rebellion, vying for a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs. Esports Charts provided this statistical data.
Compared to the previous year, TI12's group stage drew more viewers, breaking the 700,000 mark. Russian-language broadcasts proved to be particularly popular, reaching a peak of 384,000 viewers.
Upon concluding the group stage, all four Eastern European teams, namely Team Spirit, 9Pandas, BetBoom Team, and Virtus.pro, advanced to the playoffs, setting a record for the highest number of participants from this region in the tournament's history.
