Team Falcons and Tundra Esports advanced to the semifinals of the lower grid at The International 2024
The quarter-finals of the lower grid play-offs of The International 2024 are over. In the first match Team Falcons defeated Cloud9 on two maps in a row. In the second quarter-final, Tundra Esports defeated Xtreme Gaming easily with a 2-0 score.
In the duel of Team Falcons against Cloud9 there was no special The International rigmarole even before it started. Despite a certain instability of Falcons in this tournament, the team was in the position of favourites and their game was able to confirm it. So Sneyking and his teammates became one step closer to the coveted world championship.
Xtreme Gaming were the only hope of the Chinese region at the tournament, given the frankly weak performance of the other representatives of the Celestial Empire. In the quarter-final clash with Tundra Esports, the Chinese were unable to do anything against their opponent and left the tournament, losing with a score of 0:2. Then we move on to the final of the upper grid, where Team Liquid will play against Gaimin Gladiators.

Recall that The International 2024 takes place from the 4th to the 15th of September this year. The tournament will be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark. 16 strongest teams from all over the world fight for the title of world champion, as well as the prize fund, which at the time of writing is $2,542,334.
