Imperial stay alive! The Brazilian squad secured a confident 2:0 victory over The Huns in the decisive 2-2 match at the StarLadder Budapest Major, closing out Nuke 13:8 and edging out their opponents on Mirage 16:12 after overtime. The hero of the series was chelo, who delivered one of his brightest performances of the tournament and kept Imperial’s hopes of reaching Stage 2 alive.
Nuke (13:8 Imperial)
Imperial managed to win on their opponent’s map pick. In the first half, The Huns tried to control the map on the T side, but Imperial showed a well-structured defense and secured a narrow 7:5 lead. Once switching to the attack, Imperial gave their opponents no chance for a comeback and closed out Nuke 13:8.
Mirage (16:12 Imperial)
In the first half of Mirage, Imperial kept the situation fully under control. Their well-prepared defensive setups allowed them to confidently secure 9 rounds. The Huns responded in the second half, mirroring that success and pushing the game into overtime from the CT side. However, in the extra rounds, The Huns failed to take a single round and fell 16:12.
