FaZe secured a crucial victory in a dramatic series against Fluxo, earning their spot in Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major. After a confident start on Inferno, a strong response from the Brazilians on Nuke, and an incredible comeback on the decider Mirage, the European superteam closed out the series 2-1 and finished the group stage with a 3-2 record. Fluxo, meanwhile, fell just short of reaching the Legends Stage, placing 9–11th in Stage 1.
Inferno (6:13 FaZe)
FaZe confidently took the opening map Inferno against Fluxo. They performed strongly on the T side, securing an 8:4 half. After switching sides, FaZe maintained full control, quickly closing out the map 13:6. Overall, the team dictated the pace from start to finish.
Nuke (7:13 Fluxo)
Fluxo struck back on Nuke, taking a convincing 13:7 victory. They dominated early on their T side, constantly forcing FaZe into uncomfortable positions. Once on defense, Fluxo looked even stronger and didn’t allow FaZe any chance to mount a comeback. The Brazilians controlled the map entirely from the first round to the last.
Mirage (13:10 FaZe)
On the decider Mirage, FaZe pulled off a miraculous comeback from a 4:10 deficit. Despite a rough first half, they regrouped and delivered an incredible streak of 9 straight rounds, completely taking over the momentum. In the end, FaZe completed the comeback and closed the map 13:10, securing the series win.
Match MVP
The standout player of the intense series was Twistzz, who delivered several crucial rounds for his team. His final stats: ADR – 86.6, Swing +3.53%, rating – 1.30.
FaZe now move on to Stage 2 with a 3-2 record, while Fluxo end their run in the tournament, finishing 9–11th in Stage 1. The StarLadder Budapest Major Stage 1 takes place from November 24 to 27, featuring 16 teams battling for 8 spots in the next stage.
